Latest on detainees, injured – Gaza Flotilla

IHH Turkey now reporting (00:30 GMT) that Turkish Airlines are sending 3 planes to Israel to bring back activists. As of 21:30 GMT Israeli press reported 150 activists had been taken off the Mavi Marmara at Ashdod, including 3 diplomats from Algier, US and Sweden who were transferred to the Foreign Ministry.

Also at 21:30, Israeli Haaretz [Hebrew only; English version lacks breakdown] cited 34 injuries of foreign citizens, of whom 9 serious. Following according to hospital:

In Rambam (Haifa): 6 injured, including 4 Turkish and 1 Indonesian

In Sheba (Tel Hashomer): 7 injured of whom 1 critical (reportedly NOT Shaikh Raed Salah who is now rumoured to be alive and well)

Hadassah (Jerusalem): 4 injuries

Beilinson (Petah Tiqva): 14 including 3 serious

Barzilai: 3 light injuries.

Detainees: The same source reported 4 other boats had been emptied of their 112 passengers. 12 opted to sign immediate deportation from Israel; the rest were taken to Ela detention facility by Beer Sheva. No access to anyone (lawyers, consulates, embassies) was to be allowed them until tomorrow or 48 hours after capture.

Adalah, PHR-Israel and PCATI appealed today to Israeli High Court to release names, condition of casualties, detainees to families and lawyers as well as access to legal counsel.
