  San Francisco, August 25th 2011 (Venezuelanalysis.com) – On Wednesday Venezuela’s ambassador in Libya denounced the looting of his official residence by armed men, calling the assault ‘a violation of Venezuelan sovereignty’ by ‘NATO itself.’ The governments of Cuba, Ecuador, Bolivia, among other ALBA nations, denounced the violent attack as a ‘breach of international law,’ as did Venezuela’s ruling United Socialist Party (PSUV).

  Speaking to TeleSUR on Wednesday, Venezuelan Ambassador to Libya Afif Tajeldine explained that ‘a group of armed men’ had shot their way in to the official residence, ‘began searching the house and asking for me,’ before ‘looting all things, including the vehicles, the entire house, leaving nothing in the residence and shooting in the air as they left.’

  1 July 2011: Even if Gaddafi is killed, NATO will not leave – ex-Belgian MP

  Regime change is the real reason NATO is in Libya, Lode Vanoost, international consultant and former deputy speaker of the Belgian Parliament told RT. Even if Gaddafi is ousted, murdered or flees the country, NATO forces will not leave right away.

  ­According to Vanoost, there are more serious problems with the resolutions than it was possible to originally discern.

  ‘The problem with resolutions is that they are not legal texts. Basically the interpretation of resolutions is a matter of ideology and power. France interpreted it the way they did just because they could! One shouldn’t forget they drafted these resolutions themselves. It just suits their interests,’ stated Vanoost.

  He also said a land operation could be interpreted as one means to protect civilians under the UN resolution.

  ‘I am sure this is already on the table as a plan. But thankfully behind the scenes the NATO member countries are not of the same opinion on the issue, they cover it up. But basically one of the problems NATO has is its members don’t agree with each other. And that’s the only hope we have’.

  ‘France and the UK for example have been saying long before the resolution that regime change is the issue. They are not going to change their mind all of a sudden. They want to take control over Libya,’ explained Vanoost.

  UK: NO TO ‘GENERAL CURFEW’ POWERS

  In the wake of the riots, home secretary Theresa May proposed broad new police powers ‘to impose a general curfew in a particular area’. Other politicians proposed powers to block social network sites, or to ban face coverings.

  As we outlined in a Manifesto Club statement – there is absolutely no need for more police powers. The basic power of arrest for criminal damage and theft was all that was needed: yet this power was woefully applied.

  Rayyisse is an Algerian who has played an important role in fighting the western NATO Propaganda through hundreds of videos on his youtube channel about the situation in Libya (1). This morning I noticed that he uploaded a video which presents arguments for the use of fake footage by the western media in order to make people believe that Bab Al Aziziya would be about to fall. This video was somehow removed. I can give you the comments that were placed by him. If anyone can inform me about this new example of censorship, please let me know.

    Yes I just checked it and it’s not Firefox per se but some fucking software called ‘StopBadware’!

    There doesn’t seem to be a way to get them to stop interfering but I suspect the site has been hacked, which may be the cause of the block.

    PPS: They got back to me, it’s a google intercept and looking at the site, you can see it’s been hacked. Hopefully they’ll fix it soon.
