Palestinian woman released from Israeli custody after 27 day hunger strike
Ma`an – Hashlamoun was detained on 19 June 2006 and was under administrative detention without trials or charges. She went on hunger strike for 27 days as a protest for her illegal detention, and ended the strike only after prison authorities announced her release.

Two injured in Israeli attacks on Palestinian fishermen in Gaza
Ma`an – This Israeli attack is an apparent violation of the ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip which went into effect on 19 June. The violation came on the first day of the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan.
