Why We Must Resist Netanyahu and the Hawks’ Reckless Push for War on Iran
By Murtaza Hussain
Netanyahu‘s push for war is clearly counter to the views of his own military and intelligence communities. That exposes the risk of handing the most gravely consequential of geopolitical decisions over to the calculations of ideologically-driven political leaders.

On October 3, 2012 the Turkish military launched repeated mortar shellings inside Syrian territory. The military action, which was used by the Turkish military, conveniently, to establish a ten-kilometer wide no-man s land buffer zone inside Syria, was in response to the alleged killing by Syrian armed forces of several Turkish civilians along the border. There is widespread speculation that the one Syrian mortar that killed five Turkish civilians well might have been fired by Turkish-backed opposition forces intent on giving Turkey a pretext to move militarily, in military intelligence jargon, a false flag operation.
Felicity,
You are right on. I have showing people the similarity of the fake “incubator” story around myself, and perhaps you heard that Ghadafi (just like Saddam) used university girls for sex and then had forced them to receive abortions at university clinics: http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/education/article/UTSA-prof-may-beLibya-s-next-leader-2242240.php.
NATO’s invasion of Libya really opened a lot of eyes, including my own. It ripped off the veneer, as you point out, of the unholy confluence of western journalism, NGOs, western intelligence, and supposed “Al Qaeda” mercenaries such as Abdelhakim Bejhaj, the butcher of Tripoli and the star of the Mavi Mamari. (BTW, rumors are floating around that he has been captured in Syria, but his demise has been predicted before and he is too important a western asset to easily surface.) At one level, I knew a lot of this but the more recent truths that have been uncovered followiing Libya really disturb me, I gave to Amnesty International for almost 20 years and even wrote letters in support of their causes and now I argued so strongly with an AI solicitor over its behavior in Libya that he hung up the phone on me! But, it still bothers me that AI and some of the NGOs were so duplicitive.
Had the western nations invaded Syria before Libya, they might have had a better chance of pulling the Syrian venture off … but now it looks like the opposition there might be largely beaten.
