Banned from looking at the neighbours; abortion clinic buffer zones; jailed for being homeless; victory for dog walker in court; Help us save the Campaign Against PSPOs!…

The couple’s case has been covered on BBC 2 Victoria Derbyshire Programme, BBC News Online, Daily Mail, The Times, as well as a host of other papers. See coverage here.
Our involvement in several CPN cases has taught us that the appeals system is not fit for purpose. There is no legal aid, no legal advice, which means that people are ending up in the dock on their own facing council barristers. There urgently needs to be a decent system of defence: this will be the next phase of our campaign.
Imprisoning the homeless: We collaborated with the Guardian to expose the current crackdown on homeless people, including growing fines and even imprisonments. See the article in the Guardian, and others in The Week and the Metro. See our roundup of the latest incidents, including Poole’s ban on begging, and the Coventry man fined £100 for sleeping in public.
There have been lovely comments and donations from dog walkers, pedlars, lawyers, students, boaters, and councillors – all dead set for liberty and against PSPOs.
See the appeals page, to read the comments or contribute.PSPOs criminalise punts and A-boards: Cambridge council’s war on punt touting; Colchester trader rebels against ban on A-boards.
Stop the dog ban on Instow beach! A guest post by Joanne Bell, Dog Walkers Alliance, North Devon.
All the best,
