Berlin Fell!

02.05.2015 | 00:01 | Yuriy RUBTSOV

The seizure of Reichstag started by the early morning of the 30th, 1945. The 150th and 171st rifle divisions of the 3d Army led by Army General V. Kuznetsov were advancing to the building of German parliament – Reichstag. A fierce battle raged on during the whole day. A group led by Lieutenant A. Berest was ordered to clean the building and install the banner of Army’s military council at the top. The sergeants from this unit Meliton Kantaria and Mikhail Yegorov raised the Soviet flag over the Reichstag late at night on May 1…The Berlin garrison capitulated on May 2. But the war continued…

Modern Nazism as the Driving Force of Euro-Atlantic Integration

01.05.2015 | 00:00 | Pyotr ISKENDEROV

The growth of Nazism that has taken place in Europe over the last few years, the increased activities of fascist groups, the cultivation of fascist ideology at the level of individual state leaders, and the repeated attempts to revise the outcome of the Second World War all have deep-rooted causes. At the heart of this phenomenon is the desire of the Western architects of a ‘new world order’ to use modern Nazism as an instrument of European integration, which has already more or less merged with Euro-Atlantic integration…

Kiev Starts to Get Frustrated With Europe

30.04.2015 | 00:00 | Dmitry MININ

The April 27 Ukraine-EU summit in Kiev frustrated the hosts. The joint declaration was turgid enough praising bold plans for reforms and condemning Russia’s «aggressive actions» on Ukrainian soil. It is clear that Brussels has no real intention to shoulder any serious responsibility. So Ukraine got nothing but promises, no matter the whole political philosophy and strategy of Kiev regime is centered on «European prospects»…

America Refuses to Face up to Its «Death Squads» in Blue

30.04.2015 | 00:00 | Wayne MADSEN

Media pundits and politicians are calling the violence that broke out in Baltimore after the spinal cord severance death, while in police custody, of African-American Freddie Gray a «wake up call». However, these self-appointed «experts» on the social collapse of poor, mostly African-American working class neighborhoods across the United States, are avoiding talking about the real reason cities and towns across America are erupting in protest and resorting to rioting every time a young African-American is murdered by the police…

Argentina and Russia: 130 Years of Diplomatic Relations

29.04.2015 | 00:00 | Nil NIKANDROV

2015 will mark the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Argentina. There is no question but that the remarkable progress that has been made in recent years in various aspects of their bilateral cooperation is propelling Moscow and Buenos Aires onward toward new frontiers. During the official visit to Moscow of the president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, on April 21-23, the two parties signed 20 documents, notably among them a Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Russian-Argentine Comprehensive Strategic Partnership…

Bern Incident or End of ?nti-Hitler Coalition

29.04.2015 | 00:00 | Yuriy RUBTSOV

It’s not about tearing up agreements only. The Anglo-American allies did not exclude (as the recent days of the war showed) the possibility of using German prisoners of war against the Soviet Union… To slow down the Red Army’s advance to Europe, Anglo-American allies were constantly involved in unseemly actions like trying to hold separate talks with Nazis… Holding separate talks was forbidden by accords concluded between the USSR, the United States and Great Britain… The USSR achieved victory over Nazi Germany together with coalition allies which held a stone inside their shirt. This fact is irrefutable…

First Month of War in Yemen

28.04.2015 | 11:17 | Nikolai BOBKIN

…Saudi Arabia cannot defeat the Houthis without having boots on the ground. The Saudi allies are not chomping at the bit for deploying ground forces in Yemen. Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates have no capability to conduct large-scale ground operations. A couple of battalions would not be enough. The first month of war in Yemen showed that these states have no wish to get further embroiled in the Yemeni conflict under the banner of Saudi Kingdom. Egypt, Turkey and Pakistan continue to watch the situation creep. They are in no rush to start a direct confrontation with Iran.

Ukraine: War and Crisis to Enrich Tycoons

28.04.2015 | 00:00 | Alexander DONETSKY

In February 2014 a coup took place in Ukraine to serve the interests of big geopolitical players and tycoons, but not grassroots. The first ones wanted to start an offensive against Russia, the second ones wanted to take advantage of instability and promote their business interests… The war unleashed by the government in the eastern part of Ukraine resulted in death and impoverishment of common people. At the same time it opened great prospects for personal enrichment of government, those who are close to it and tycoons. The higher is position, the more profit a person makes.

USA and Germany. Masters and Vassals

28.04.2015 | 00:00 | Natalia MEDEN

Der Spiegel wrote that BND provided the National Security Agency with classified data. The Bundesnachrichtendienst is accused of processing more than 40,000 requests from the NSA to spy on people, businesses and institutions in Europe. Among the reported targets: German arms manufacturers, the EADS aerospace consortium and the French government. Will there be consequences?.. German media tell readers that the Chancellor did not know about the BND practice, but who would believe that? New revelations only make Germans more convinced that their country is not a sovereign state. There is no way to escape from the crisis of confidence between masters and vassals divided by the Atlantic.

The Transatlantic Partnership and the Monetary Sovereignty of Europe

27.04.2015 | 10:03 | Valentin KATASONOV

On 20 April, the ninth round of negotiations between US and EU representatives on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) began in New York. Officials on both sides of the Atlantic are referring to the figure of $100 billion as the main argument in favour of the agreement. Apparently, this is the amount that the combined GDP of the US and the 28 EU member countries will increase by. So far, nobody has given any clear explanations as to where this estimate has come from… A European not well-versed in politics does not yet understand what to expect from the TTIP…

Western Aid to Ukraine Vanishes in Black Hole

27.04.2015 | 00:00 | Alexander DONETSKY

…The system which has been established in Ukraine during the recent 23 years is called kleptocracy. It permeates the whole Ukrainian society from transport police to courts, from public utilities to state procurement. The 2014 coup made the situation worse. In 2014’s Transparency International Corruption Perception Index was ranked 142nd out of the 175 countries investigated. It is placed near to Uganda, the Comoros, the Central African Republic, Cameroon, Nigeria and Papua – New Guinea. According to foreign investors the share of shade economy is 60 %…

Washington Choreographing All-Out War with Russia?

26.04.2015 | 00:00 | Finian CUNNINGHAM

…For several weeks now the Ukrainian self-defence militia in the breakaway eastern Donbas region have been warning that the US-backed Kiev regime is readying to break a fragile ceasefire and resume its offensive. The refusal, as mandated by the truce, to fully withdraw heavy artillery and the ongoing practice of live-fire drills near the conflict zone are evidences cited. With the reported arrival of 300 American paratroopers in Ukraine collaborating with Kiev’s Neo-Nazi National Guard brigades – the worst offenders over the past year’s fighting in eastern Ukraine – that development is an alarming harbinger of imminent conflict…

Elbe Meeting: 70 Years After

26.04.2015 | 00:00 | Yuriy RUBTSOV

…The Elbe meeting of comrades-in-arms fighting the same enemy was a historic event. But differences remained. They became more visible as the end of war was approaching… Thousands of Russian soldiers were shedding blood near Berlin to bring closer the end of war and save lives of US and British servicemen. At the very same time Winston Churchill gave an order to work out a plan of war against the Soviet Union (Operation Unthinkable) to impose on Moscow the will of the United States and the British Empire! The Red Army’s ally held a stone inside his shirt…
