Trumped

Wednesday, 6 November 2024 — Al Mayadeen English

With a win in Wisconsin, Trump has cleared the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency, gaining an extra 7, and winning against Vice President Kamala Harris with a total of 277 to 224 electoral votes.

It is noteworthy that Harris’ votes might still increase as the counting process in some states has not been finalized, as the winner of the popular vote, though inconsequential in terms of the results, but telling in terms of political shifts, is yet to be determined.

With this Donald Trump has become the 47th president of the United States.
