🔫💥🇾🇪 Two signs of upcoming ground clashes in Yemen

Wednesday, 16 April 2025 — New Eastern Outlook

🪖📰🇾🇪🇺🇸🇸🇦🇦🇪The Presidency Council, Yemen’s internationally recognized government backed by the United States, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, is amassing more than 80,000 troops for a major offensive to retake the western coastal port city of Hodeida from the Houthis, according to the Saudi-based Gulf Studies Center and several Arab media outlets.

🇾🇪 It would be the biggest offensive of the civil war, which has seen the Presidency Council and its allies in the Southern Transitional Council and Yemeni National Resistance gradually build up their firepower and influence since 2017.

🇾🇪 The capture of Hodeida will effectively encircle the Houthis, which will then allow operations to capture the capital Sanaa, which has been under the control of Ansar Allah since the beginning of the war (2014).

🚀It is reported that the US Air Force is already helping its Yemeni protégés with intelligence and targeting, as well as conducting surveillance flights for them over territory controlled by Ansar Allah. It is noted that the recent strikes on the Houthis are actions to prepare for a future offensive.

1⃣🛫 Yesterday’s US bombings focused on the eastern areas under Houthi control. Their targets, in particular, were defensive lines in the provinces of Marib and Al-Jawf.

🔴 This indicates that US aircraft have begun to fulfill their task of providing air cover for the ground offensive.

2⃣🛳 The US aircraft carrier USS Vinson is in southeast Yemen, although the Houthis are launching missiles and drones from the north and west.

🔴 The deployment of the aircraft carrier will allow US aircraft to more quickly cover the east of the country and hit targets there, including armed forces and military facilities on the ground. At the same time, the eastern regions of Yemen have nothing to do with what is happening in the Red Sea, that is, with the Houthi-organized naval blockade of Israel.

⚠ All of the above indicates that ground combat operations will soon begin in Yemen, during which the Presidential Council will be supported by the US Air Force, as well as terrorist organizations controlled by it.
