| I’m getting in touch with an important update on the controversial NHS Federated Data Platform (FDP) run by pro-Trump US spy tech company Palantir.
To recap, last summer Health Secretary Wes Streeting sought to speed up the rollout of Palantir’s technology by demanding that all NHS Trusts in England adopt it. We feared that this marked the end of the road for our fight to get Palantir away from NHS patients’ health data.
BUT, it turns out that the rollout of the FDP is NOT going to plan! |
| Across England, multiple NHS trusts have raised concerns and are resisting the rollout of the FDP. Their reluctance reflects real anxiety about the ethics of a company like Palantir working within our NHS, as well as fears that this platform could lead to reduced capabilities, loss of local control, and eventual commercialisation of NHS data services.
To help shed light on what’s happening, some of our campaign partners have launched a new tool that tracks how each Trust is responding to the FDP rollout – information we can use to demand transparency and pressure for alternative, public-led solutions. If you live in England, look up your local NHS Trust now! |
