The United Kingdom has deployed its armed forces 83 times in 47 countries since the end of the Second World War, according to research from investigative journalism outlet Declassified UK. This has included coups, such as in Guyana in 1953, Egypt in 1956, or Libya in 2011. It also includes full-scale invasions of nations, like Afghanistan in 2001 or Iraq in 2003.
