Prosecute Israel for criminal interference in ICC Genocide case

Dutch prosecutors are considering opening a criminal case against senior Israeli intelligence officials after allegations of interference with an International Criminal Court (ICC) investigation. A group of 20 complainants, mainly Palestinians, filed the request, accusing “Israel” of attempting to derail the ICC’s inquiry into war crimes in occupied Palestine.

Lawyers representing the complainants have urged Dutch prosecutors to investigate senior Israeli security officials for their involvement in potentially criminal acts within the Netherlands. A spokesperson for the Dutch prosecution service confirmed that the complaint has been received and is under review.

The move comes after an investigative report revealed efforts by Israeli intelligence, spanning nearly a decade, to influence and intimidate ICC officials. The Dutch government has since raised concerns with “Israel’s” ambassador, given the Netherlands’ responsibility as the host country to ensure the ICC remains free from external interference.
