96% of Gaza’s children feel their death is imminent

A recent study has uncovered the harrowing impact of “Israel’s” war on Gaza’s children, revealing that an overwhelming 96% feel their death is imminent, and nearly half wish for it as an escape from their trauma.

With symptoms ranging from nightmares to aggression, the psychological toll is unimaginable. Experts warn that the ongoing Israeli atrocities risk shaping a future defined by deep-rooted psychological scars.

  1. This result is not surprising.

I recall a psychologist studying the effects of orphaned children in WWII–think it was Bettleheim?? If memory serves, he described the children forming their own communities with mutual support but there was severe trauma. His work was considered extraordinary.

What we are seeing with the Gazan children is infinitely worse and cannot but have life long consequences on so many levels. Brain development will be one of the worst consequences especially for the under age 3. And those orphaned and with amputations will most likely be the worst.

Israel really needs to be brought up on the most severe charges for their inhumane, intentional assault on all the people and environment, the children being damaged the worst. In cases of murder one of the worst charges is Depraved Indifference. Am waiting to hear Israel charged for such.
