In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi clarified that the United States “is being utterly ignorant in its confrontation with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the axis of resistance.”
He explained that Iran and the Axis of Resistance have not yet begun escalation and did not initiate the war, but have been trying to prevent the region from being destroyed.
Gulf states in the region, Marandi says, miscalculated by underestimating the Axis of Resistance and overestimating the US, and warned them that their only solution is to back down and force the United States to leave.
