Israel’s answer to the ‘ceasefire’: it slaughters the innocent in Lebanon

❗️Statement issued by Hezbollah:

“Driven by blind hatred, entrenched criminality, and boundless brutality that has become inherent to its nature, the Israeli enemy today carried out a wave of massacres against civilians, targeting residential areas with dozens of violent airstrikes in the southern suburbs, Beirut, Sidon, the south, and the Bekaa, leaving hundreds of martyrs and wounded, including children, women, and the elderly.

This barbaric aggression, which at every stage constitutes clear war crimes and acts of genocide through the targeting of densely populated civilian areas, markets, and commercial shops during peak hours, is nothing but a desperate attempt to exact revenge on civilians after the failure of all efforts to break and subdue this proud people. Our honorable people have proven that the brutality of the aggression has only increased their resilience, steadfastness, and commitment to the path of resistance, regardless of the immense sacrifices made.

This unrestrained criminality clearly reflects the enemy’s disappointment after its resounding failure to achieve any of its objectives and plans across various fronts. It now finds itself confronted with the reality of its defeat, incapable and constrained from altering the equations imposed by the steadfastness of the peoples of Iran and Lebanon. It is also an expression of the state of collapse, confusion, and disarray experienced by this troubled entity and its defeated army under the blows of the fighters.

We affirm that the blood of the martyrs and the wounded will not be in vain, and that today’s massacres, like all acts of aggression and brutal crimes, reaffirm our natural and legal right to resist the occupation and respond to its aggression. They will only strengthen our determination to continue resisting and confronting the enemy, to curb its aggression, defend our people and homeland, and protect our security in the face of ongoing attacks.”
