It was always going to happen. As the Ukrainian forces face defeat, and as the Ukrainian bargaining chip of Kursk disintegrates, the US was always going to escalate the war to drag it out. This week Biden and British P.M. Starmer gave Zelensky permission to use their longer range weapons to strike into Russian territory, despite Putin making it clear he would consider this an act of war by NATO, as these weapons cannot be used without US and UK technical and targeting assistance. This article discusses the potential ramifications of this reckless and desperate act by US imperialism.
