  1. Very good discussion on Israeli education and the right ward move of the country. What I find amiss, as I see in most of the writings of today, is the lack of discussion of the geopolitical importance of Isreal to Western society which is why that State gets supported by the US in particular. This should be an added section of all these discussion, especially when talking about future scenarios.

    1. It’s all about Settler Colonialism and keeping the Arabs down and it always has been, ever since the Crusades in the 11th century!

      1. Yes, it is Setter Colonialism but with a heavily racist base. However, the point is the geopolitical importance of the ME for US imperialism and economic control of the world. Without talking about this US involvement in the ME makes little sense. I was criticized some time ago for saying that this was the only reason the US/UK supported the creation of Israel, was the creation of a White supremacist, European mindset island in the midst of the oil rich and a geographical location. It is a State without a Constitution and only a fantasy of being democratic, one that allows it to do the very things the the US makes illegal in our political structure–like the spying and blatant assassinations and invasions of neighboring countries as well as the fascist repression and slow genocide of the Palestinians for over 75 yrs, etc. And now we have the massive gas deposits in the Gazan Mediterranean waters that Israel has claimed for its own. And the Suez canal that keeps shipping costs down but the Houthis have gained control as israel’s expense so Israel is planning a new canal running right thru Gaza! And let’s not forget the valuable ‘beach front property’ that people like Jared Kushner is drooling over.
