Israel is committing massacres across the Gaza Strip while for six weeks now it has closed all crossings for food, fuel, medicines, construction vehicles and every other essential supply, plunging two million people into another deep starvation and health crisis.

Nora Barrows-Friedman will bring us the latest news at the start of today’s show.

We will also speak with human rights activist Miko Peled.

He is well-known as the author of The General’s Son, an autobiographical account of his family, including his father Matti Peled, who was a general in the Israeli army during the 1967 war and later met Yasser Arafat and urged negotiations with the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Miko Peled’s most recent book is Injustice: The Story of the Holy Land Foundation Five. It describes the US government’s persecution and then the closure of what was America’s largest Muslim charity, The Holy Land Foundation, and the grave miscarriage of justice in the subsequent trials and convictions of five Palestinian Muslim-American community leaders.

We’ll talk to Miko about the context and history preceding the Trump administration’s current crackdown on those critical of Israel.

Jon Elmer will cover all the latest news from the resistance in Gaza and the Yemeni forces’ battle in the Red Sea.

And this week, Israel’s debunked 7 October “mass rapes” narrative took yet another blow, when Rami Davidian, a key “witness” was exposed by Israeli media as a total fraud. Ali Abunimah will have a report.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump summoned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House this week, apparently surprising him with the news that Washington is in negotiations with Tehran. This comes amid fears that the United States is preparing to attack Iran, just as it continues to bomb Yemen.

Did the joint press appearance by the American and Israeli leaders hint at any sort of limit to the Trump administration’s willingness to back Israel to the extent of total regional war?

Please join Nora, Jon, Ali Abunimah, Tamara Nassar and Asa Wintanley for all this and more.
