Paul Bremer, the new ‘Gauleiter’ of Iraq
George Bush has appointed Paul Bremer as the ‘civil administrator’ of Iraq in what the Independent calls ‘a victory for Colin Powell…in the running skirmishes with Mr Rumsfeld’s Pentagon…’.
