In one week’s time, NHS England – who run our NHS – are holding their biggest decision-making meeting of the year. The meeting’s open to anyone, so this is our chance to be heard by the people making huge changes to our NHS.

In the past six months alone, thousands of 38 Degrees members have taken action to stop closures to our GP surgeries [1]. We’ve stopped the hospital closure clause [2] and fought cuts to our local health services [3]. But what next?

The most influential people at NHS England will be at their AGM next week making big decisions about the future of our health services. As they make their decisions, we can make sure they know that we can’t be ignored. We can put our questions and demands are right in front of them.

We know this can work – earlier this year 38 Degrees members attended NHS England’s ‘open house’ events across the country to push for greater transparency. Directors at NHS England came out and met with us to hear our concerns [4]. We can do it again, but this time, its the big bosses of the NHS we can influence.
