Quiz the NHS Today!

18 September 2014 — 38 Degrees

Today’s a big day for the NHS. Hundreds of 38 Degrees members will get the chance to quiz NHS bosses face to face at a meeting in London.

It’s NHS England’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and they’ll be making decisions about the future of our NHS. 38 Degrees members will be there to make sure NHS bosses are clear we want the NHS to be protected. But if you can’t attend, your voice can still be heard!

The meeting is being broadcast live on the internet and alongside the video, the office team have created a place for 38 Degrees members to comment on the meeting as it’s happening. Together we’ll be able to join the debate and show our support for the 38 Degrees members in the room.

NHS bosses will be watching online to see how their plans are being received. So the office team will tweet comments that come through from 38 Degrees members so NHS England can’t fail to hear us.

Join in online from 5.30pm:

Important decisions shouldn’t just be made by a few people in suits, they should be made by all of us. The meeting is public – with hundreds of 38 Degrees members going along to ask questions and many more joining in online – so we’ve got a great opportunity to get ourselves heard.

When 38 Degrees members come together, people listen. When we attended NHS England’s ‘open house’ events earlier this year, we pushed for a chance to speak to their senior staff and we won [1]. Today’s meeting means we can talk directly to the people in charge of our NHS.

Will you join in online? It starts at 5.30pm this afternoon. Click here to join:

We can shape the future of our NHS. But only if we stand together. We can make sure there’s no doubt in NHS bosses’ minds that we care about the future of our health service – and that we’re watching what they do. We can tell them what we want them to do to protect our NHS.

Thanks so much for being involved,

James, Amy, Nat and the 38 Degrees team
