Today is International Nurses Day. It’s a day that exists to recognise and celebrate the contributions that nurses make to society. Sadly, for so many nurses across the NHS, there is not much cause for celebration right now. They are underpaid, overworked, and overwhelmed.
Yet every single day, nurses battle through these tough working conditions in order to keep patients safe and healthy. They show up for us. We need to show up for them. Today we are asking NHS patients to share a message of support for nurses. We’ll compile them, publish them, and share them directly with nursing staff to show that we have their backs. Click to write yours now. 💙 |

Every single one of us has a story to share about how a nurse has been there for us – or for a loved one – in our darkest moments. But we don’t always get the opportunity to say thank you. Of course, we know that words alone are not enough. Nurses need real improvements in their pay and conditions, and our movement will continue fighting for that. But at a time when politicians and the media are trying to pit patients and health workers against each other, we need to show we are united in demanding better for our NHS. |
