Reminder – please donate to bring film about the future of food to the world

Thursday, 9 July 2026 — GMWatch

The makers of the remarkable film In Symbiosis, which documents what’s wrong with the food system (including GMOs and pesticides) and points the way to a better future, need to raise £12000 to enable the film to be seen by the public in cinemas worldwide. They’re half way towards their goal – please help them get over the line in the few days that are left by donating here.

The film features Vandana Shiva, Prof Dave Goulson, Prof Michael Antoniou, GMWatch’s Claire Robinson, and the late Peter Melchett, among many others. It continues to garner praise and awards at film festivals across the globe. But as yet, the public can’t see the film because the archive footage licence fees still need to be paid. The film makers, who have financed the entire project themselves at considerable sacrifice, have reached their financial limits.

Here’s what Cédric Eloy, Director of Cambodia International Film Festival, said about the film: “Insightful, accessible, and profoundly relevant, In Symbiosis is not just a documentary, it is an educational tool for the future. At a time when many films document the damage, In Symbiosis dares to ask why. In doing so, it offers something far more valuable than despair: understanding and the possibility of change.”

Please give whatever you can to help the film’s message get out to the public! Many thanks.
