Militants from Afghanistan launch attack in Pakistan, 8 killed:  At least eight militants were killed when they tried to launch a third attack from Afghanistan inside Pakistan in less than a week, said officials on Thursday. 

7 Pakistan soldiers killed by blast:  A roadside bomb has hit a paramilitary convoy in north-west Pakistan, killing seven soldiers, officials say. The attack happened as the convoy passed through a bazaar in Bara, a town in the Khyber tribal area.

Iran’s Vice President Makes “Anti-Semitic” Speech at Forum:  Mr. Rahimi, second in line to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, said the Talmud teaches to “destroy everyone who opposes the Jews.” The “Zionists” are in firm control of the illegal drug trade, Mr. Rahimi said, asking foreign dignitaries to research his claims. “Zionists” is Iran‘s ideological term for Jews who support the state of Israel.

British lawyers have lodged a complaint at the UN against Israel for allegedly torturing Palestinian children. Their report showed youngsters held in solitary confinement and shackled while in the custody of the Israeli military.
