At the beginning of July, an interesting story appeared in the media: the head of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis, Mustafa Dzhemilev, was awarded the Order of the Knight’s Cross «For services to Lithuania» by Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskait?. The nature of this Tatar’s knightly, which is to say military, services to the Lithuanian state could not but arouse curiosity.
