1. Housmans wins Best Independent Bookshop in London Award!
The British Book Industry Awards 192×181 As you may have heard Housmans has won ‘Best Independent Bookshop in London’ at the British Book Awards – we still have a chance to win best in the UK (winner announced in May). 2. London Radical Bookfair 2016 – May 7th LRB Facebook The London Radical Bookfair is back, and this year it’s taking place at Goldsmiths University. The wide world of UK radical bookselling and publishing under one roof. 3. New Left Review and other journal runs for sale
We have some great journal runs for sale at the moment: History Workshop 1-36 or so.. Socialist History 1 – 40 or so… Bound and complete Labour Monthly from 1926 on up into the 70s …and a long run of New Left Review including rare 60s issues (check the link for full details): http://www.housmans.com/blog/?p=2640 If interested please email nik[at]housmans.com to discuss. 11. London Pacifism and Nonviolence Discussion Group white poppy
Housmans has a regular Pacifism and Nonviolence Discussion Group, who meet on the second Tuesday of the month. All are welcome, but please be prepared to join in the discussion. Please try to turn up by 7pm sharp.
