Monday, 20 April 2026 — #Together
Could you take two minutes right now to help make this count?
Our SCRAP Digital ID rallies are just days away – this Saturday, 25 April – and momentum is building fast as volunteers spread the word across the country.
With the government on uncertain footing and local elections on 7 May, we have a key opportunity to send a message: whoever takes power next must drop Digital ID plans for good.
Here’s where to be – and when:
Time: Gather from 1:30pm for a 2:00pm start
LONDON: Trafalgar Square, London (WC2N 5DS)
EDINBURGH: Holyrood Park (Broad Pavement), Car Park, Queens Drive, EH8 8AZ
CARDIFF: The Senedd, Welsh Parliament, CF99 1SN
BELFAST: City Hall, BT1 5GS
Could you help us spread the word? It takes just minutes – and it really helps.
If you’ve already shared, thank you – and please do it again!
STEP 1: Copy, paste and share this message everywhere
Digital ID was never in the manifesto. Nearly 3 million people signed the petition saying “no.” Yet the government is still pushing it?
Join the rallies to say SCRAP Digital ID this Saturday 25 April in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff & Belfast. Get updates & details: https://togetherdeclaration.org/25april

STEP 2: Share the event graphic
Download the relevant graphic for you (also available at the bottom of this email) and post it across your social media, WhatsApp groups, and anywhere else you can. Every share helps maximise turnout and pressure.
Why these rallies matter – and who you’ll hear from
Prominent voices will speak out against Digital ID and for freedom and privacy. Highlights across the rallies, with live speakers and exclusive video addresses, include:
- Toby Young (Founder, Free Speech Union) – leading campaigner defending free expression against cancel culture and state overreach.
- Harry Miller (Fair Cop / Bad Law Project) – former police officer who successfully challenged police overreach on free speech in a landmark case, instrumental in getting “Non Crime Hate Incidents” scrapped.
- Phil Booth (NO2ID)– veteran privacy campaigner who helped defeat Tony Blair’s ID card scheme and continues fighting the “database state”.
- Baroness Claire Fox – writer, broadcaster, Academy of Ideas director and lifelong free speech advocate.
- Bev Turner – fearless GB News presenter and broadcaster standing up for open debate and individual freedoms.
- Jen Persson (Defend Digital Me) – leading voice on children’s data rights and transparent, privacy-respecting digital policy.
- Adam Brooks – outspoken commentator highlighting the real dangers and government messaging around Digital ID.
- Dr Claire Craig – diagnostic pathologist and co-chair of HART, known for clear, evidence-based analysis on policy impacts.
Additional speakers and contributors across the events include Ellie
Hodges, Ada Akpala, Laila Cunningham, DJ Lange, Lisa McKenzie, Dan
Astin-Gregory, Lee Harris, Chris Rose, veteran Matt Hellyer, Paul Frew
MLA, Richie Taylor, Jamie Jenkins, James Freeman, Michael Bergson,
Montgomery Toms, Caroline Farrow (CitizenGO) and many more.
This is a Four Nations show of unity – one day, coordinated action across the UK to say enough.
Please join us in person if you can (especially the London event at Trafalgar Square), bring friends and family, and help spread the word today. The bigger the turnout, the louder the message.
#together we are stronger. Let’s make Saturday 25th count!
