Speaking to Al Mayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi affirmed that Iran will not allow the Strait of Hormuz to go back to normal until “Lebanon is quiet.”

Professor Marandi highlighted that Iran had to make sure there are no “loopholes” in the agreements and no elements that the US can use to “cheat Iran,” stressing that the agreement has been carefully constructed, “including the parts that deal with Lebanon.”

“When the text comes out, people will see that those have been carefully crafted so that there would be no excuse for the Zionist regime and for the United States to continue the slaughter of women and children,” he said.
