THE LAST WEEK OF THE 7/7 INQUESTS

Today saw the start of the last week of the 7 July Inquests hearings. For anyone following proceedings at the inquests in detail it’s been a tough 20 weeks.  Each day the Inquest sat resulted in around 200 or so pages of transcripts to read and cross-reference with the evidential releases adduced, followed by the additional research and writing required to produce the meaningful analysis and articles published on the J7: 7/7 Inquests blog.

1. The Identification of Mohammed Sidique Khan
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2010

How Mohammed Sidique Khan, like Shehzad Tanweer, all but disintegrated. No eye witnesses, nor was he included in the final ‘life extinct’ figure pronounced for the day.

2. Jermaine Lindsay, a circuit board and plastic bottles

3. Tavistock Square and No. 30 Bus witnesses come forth

In advance of the appearance of one of the better-known 7/7 “eye-witnesses” from the day of 7 July 2005, J7 produced a short video looking at the various contradictory statements of Richard Jones, showing how none of the descriptions resemble Hasib Hussain.

5. Corporate Spookdom, ‘plausible deniability’ at the 7/7 Inquests

Written and published in advance of the appearance of MI5’s “corporate witness” who had no direct involvement with any surveillance operations connected to the events of 7/7, an introduction to plausible deniability.

6. The Notable Absence of Hasib Hussain

Not all Asians that happened to be in London on the morning of 7 July 2005 were Hasib Hussain, although eye witness testimonies seem to think they were. We examine the Tavistock Square testimonies and evidence

7. Simply Wrong

Testimonies and evidence released during the inquest and previous ‘terror’ trials contradict each other. Knowingly lying under oath is known as perjury.  Has perjury now become an aspect of the 7/7 story?

8. Tavistock Square & the second controlled explosion… of Richmal
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2011

Richmal Marie Oates-Whitehead assisted in the aftermath of the number 30 bus incident in Tavistock Square.  Although not involved in the explosion she died some weeks later and the media, after having her reports of a second, controlled explosion on the bus widely refuted, made a concerted effort to discredit Richmal as a “fantasist” and a “fabulist”.  At the inquests, the character assassination picked up where the media left off.

9. Colonel Mahoney, in Porton Down, with the flawed data
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2011

Almost five years on from 7/7 and the exact nature of the explosives and the devices allegedly used still remains a mystery – even to forensic explosives experts.  Also revealed during Mahoney’s appearance the fact that no internal autopsies took place, meaning that complex models of blast injuries had to be built, despite there being no concrete information about the formulation of the explosive devices.

10. A cat amongst the [stool] pigeons – Mohammed Junaid Babar
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2011

One of the stories that J7 has been pushing almost since its inception is that of Mohammed Junaid Babar.  Babar declared war on Americans in the wake of the 11 September attacks and spent years flying in and out of the US, UK and Pakistan, apparently meeting with the 7/7 accused on occasion, before beoming the US/UK star witness in several ‘terror’ trials.  Finally, Shiv Malik of the Guardian picks up the story and uncovers evidence that Babar may well have been on the FBI payroll while involved with various trans-Atlantic ‘terror’ plots.

11. McDaid Who?
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2011

“McDaid who?” would be the majority of people’s response if you mentioned the name McDaid in connection with the events in London on 7th July 2005. Yet Martin ‘Abdullah’ McDaid’s name emerged during the inquest as a former Special Boat Squadron turned ‘radical extremist’ who had been on the security services radar since 1998.  J7 also uncovered the point at which the ‘Security’ Services endeavoured to introduce McDaid’s ‘legend’ as a radical Muslim extremist into the public domain.

12. MI5 Taking the PISCES – Part I
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2011

MI5’s anonymous ‘corporate witness’ faced the inquests this week and his approach, if anything, was one of providing the least assistance and information as possible to the inquests team, often-times only nodding assent in response to questioning.  We review the proceedings and evidence released during Witness G’s appearance at the inquests.

Even though the inquest hearings and evidence submissions draw to a close at the end of this week, the real work of further in depth analysis of the evidence released commences in earnest.  J7 will publish our findings in due course.
