European conference marking Statewatch’s 20th anniversary

Statewatchs 20th anniversary conference was held at Conway Hall in London on Saturday 25th June 2011. More than 220 people from 18 EU countries registered and over 30 NGOs attended the conference.
The Opening plenary saw speeches from Gareth Peirce (solicitor) discussing the war on terror and Tony Bunyan (Director of Statewatch) on the state of Europe:
