Notices of Eviction as served in Palestine

9 October 2011 — 1948.org.uk

“You are to be evicted from your land. Failure to comply with this order will result in forcible eviction and demolition of property.”

We enclose a Notice which, like many hundreds of them, will be served (in Hebrew of course) by the Zionist authorities, upon the Palestinian indigenous population of the Jordan Valley in yet another attempt at stealing and confiscating their Palestinian property in broad daylight while the world (and the PA) looks on.

In fact, we believe that no such notices should be served at all because the service of such a notice bestows upon it the legality of a civilised court order within a democratic process. We know that there is no such thing under the Israeli form of government.

We post it here to let all those who are not familiar with such notices, see what such a daily order looks like and to be be aware of how cold, brutal and criminal it sounds…and at the same time as the PA the PA goes to the United Nations to submit its Bid for world recognition of a Palestinian State somewhere in the West Bank.

For those who are not familiar with Areas A, B or C of the West Bank as imposed upon the Palestinian people within the Oslo Accords of 1993, here are the definitions:

Area A: includes major Palestinian cities with no Israeli presence. This Area constitutes 17% of the West Bank and holds about 55% of its population.

Area B: constitutes 24% of the West bank and holds 41% of its Palestinian population. The PA has civilian control of this area. Israel has total military and security control.

Area C: constitutes 59% of the West bank and includes 4% of its population. Israel has full control here with the exception of main Palestinian population centres. The Notice enclosed will apply to this Area of the West Bank!
