Intercept: How Donald Trump Is Trying to Blow Up the Iran Nuclear Deal

Right – Murtaza Hussain’s piece in The Intercept (9/10/17)

Janine Jackson: Americans don’t really need to be enjoined to “never forget” September 11, 2001. But what about February 5, 2003, when Colin Powell presented the UN Security Council with some blurry pictures and mistranslated intercepts he said proved that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction that the US should go to war over? Today, media acknowledge that George W. Bush just wanted to invade Iraq, and concocted a scenario that would make it seem justifiable.

The US, France and Britain Scrap United Nations Diplomacy, Embrace Terrorism against the People of Syria… By Felicity Arbuthnot

3 October 2016 — Global Research

“An ambassador is a … gentleman sent to lie abroad for the good of his country.” (Attributed to Sir Henry Wotton, 1568-1639.)

When Vitaly Churkin, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (“We the people of the United Nations, determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war …”) rose to speak at the UN to address Syria’s ongoing tragedy, on Sunday 25th September, US Ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, François Delattre, Permanent Representative for France and British Permanent Representative, Matthew Rycroft, metaphorically threw their toys out of the pram and walked out. Anything more infantile and further away from the UN’s founding aspirations would be hard to find.

A United Nations For the Rest of Us, But Not For Israel By Mohamed Khodr

13 May 2013 — Veterans Today

“We Jews forced the Arabs to leave….Here was a people who lived on its own land for 1,300 years. We came and turned the native Arabs into tragic refugees. And still we dare to slander and malign them, to besmirch their name. Instead of being deeply ashamed of what we did and of trying to undo some of the evil we committed by helping these unfortunate refugees, we justify our terrible acts and even attempt to glorify them”
–Nathan Chofshi, in Jewish Newsletter, February 9, 1959

“It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, then to put on the cloak of non- violence to cover Impotence”.

One organization – the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) – is repeatedly, and very controversially, involved in some form or another in many of these conflicts led by the US and its allies.
