The International Monetary Fund Might Not Live to See Its Anniversary
19.04.2014 | 10:53 | Valentin KATASONOV
The latest meeting of the ministers of finance and central bank governors of the G20 countries took place April 10-11, 2014 in Washington. A key issue was the reform of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)… Through their inaction on the issue of reforming the IMF, the United States first and foremost is discrediting itself. And second, the Fund. Third, the G20. The Fund’s reputation is plummeting especially fast considering that in recent years China has been giving “third world” countries loans similar in size to those offered by the IMF and the IBRD. But Beijing, unlike the IMF, does not set political conditions in the spirit of the Washington Consensus…
Crimea Reunited with Russia: First «Direct Line» with Vladimir Putin
19.04.2014 | 00:00 | Elena PONOMAREVA
The TV-broadcast Direct Line has no analogues in the world. It started on December 21, 2001 when Russia changed along with the whole world. The reunification with Crimea has become a momentous event, probably the most important one since those days. It happened against the background of Ukraine’s crisis dragging the country into chaos and confrontation. Naturally, Ukraine was in the focus of the event that took place on April 17…
After Geneva Talks: Federalization as Last Chance to Save Ukraine
18.04.2014 | 13:47 | Olga SHEDROVA
Demonstrators were being shot at in the port city of Mariupol as a quadripartite meeting between representatives of Russia, the US the EU and Ukraine on settling the internal political crisis in Ukraine proceeded in Geneva. That’s why the final statement which envisions de-escalation of the situation is an undisputed success. Will the Ukraine’s interim government carry out its obligations?.. If Kiev goes on imposing its will, the state of Ukraine will collapse with its territory divided between other states. It will lead to the destruction of the post-war international security system based on the United Nations Charter and the Helsinki Final Act. It all has special importance for Europe, the continent with a plethora of disputed territories and re-shaped boundaries…

The Aggressive Feminine Face of U.S. Diplomacy
18.04.2014 | 00:00 | Nikolai BOBKIN
The United States is represented in the UN by Samantha Power, who recently has been shocking diplomats with her hysterical retorts, unpredictable behavior and invective from the podium of the world’s main international organization. The lady who has been nicknamed Obama’s «humanitarian hawk» is in such a rage over the impotence of the U.S. in Ukraine that occasionally she spouts total nonsense: that Russia has no right to forget that it is the loser, not the winner, that Moscow’s behavior is outrageous because by blackmailing the U.S. with nuclear weapons, Moscow is humiliating America, etc…
Zionists and Anti-Semites in Ukraine: A Strange Union
17.04.2014 | 08:43 | Dmitry MININ
It is surprising how the national socialist Banderovite ideology which has prevailed in Kiev, filled as it is with anti-Semitism, has enabled the complete triumph of the most odious of figures from the point of view of this ideology, the oligarchs, and activists of the world Jewish movement like Igor Kolomoisky, at that. This is a striking example of how seemingly mutually exclusive political forces can form unprincipled and unnatural unions for the sake of achieving short-term goals without thinking about the far-reaching consequences… The ultranationalist slogan «Bandera will come and put things in order!» today sounds like «Kolomoisky will come and put things in order!»..

Kiev Regime Leaders to Face Hague Tribunal
16.04.2014 | 16:39 | Olga SHEDROVA
Kiev has unleashed a war against its own people… The regime, that grabbed power in the heat of coup to quell the people’s aspirations for self-determination, is doomed to collapse. Those who are responsible for dozens of people killed on Maidan by snipers, as well as for killing the Donetsk fisherman and unleashing punitive actions against peaceful civilians, will have to face responsibility. The precedent to remember is the International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia (ICTY). Having unleashed a war against its people, the Kiev regime has stepped on the way to finally face the International Criminal Tribunal for former Ukraine…
Kiev Declares War on South-East
16.04.2014 | 04:00 | Boris NOVOSELTSEV
The civil disobedience movement in the Ukraine’s South East spreads around growing into a people’s uprising… With the war on its own people declared, no way can the regime represent the whole Ukraine at the international four-party talks to take place on April 17. This fact is obvious… The delay of the Kiev’s positive response to the South-East, or even punitive actions against it, will eliminate the state of Ukraine, at least within its contemporary borders…
Europe Misses Chance to Preserve Ukraine Unified
16.04.2014 | 00:00 | Alexander DONETSKY
…It makes no sense to hold the Geneva crisis management talks slated for April 17 with the participation of the European Union, the Russian Federation, the United States of America and Ukraine only without the representation of Ukrainian South-East. Otherwise the crisis will aggravate and turn into a full-scale civil war waged in the vicinity of the borders with the European Union, and Ukraine will not exist as a unitary state anymore being divided into a few parts hostile to each other…
CIA Terror Chief Pulls Rank in Kiev
15.04.2014 | 18:21 | Finian CUNNINGHAM
Following disclosure of Brennan’s weekend visit to the Ukrainian capital, the White House was evidently caught on the back foot. The Oval Office made the somewhat unconvincing attempt to portray it as a perfunctory meeting between security officials. Well, if it was merely a routine itinerary then why was the fact of the meeting such a closely guarded secret… The timing of Brennan’s sojourn in Kiev comes at a crucial juncture. The unelected Western-backed junta in Kiev is threatening a violent crackdown on pro-Russian protesters in the east and south of the country…
Ukraine’s Secret Recipe: «Brennan Kiev»
15.04.2014 | 00:00 | Wayne MADSEN
Central Intelligence Agency director John O. Brennan has been cooking up a storm in Ukraine and «Brennan Kiev» is the entrée on the menu. Brennan recently paid a secret visit to the Ukrainian capital to discuss with coup leaders their response to the insurgency sweeping eastern Ukraine. It has been reported by various European news agencies that Brennan landed on April 12 in Kiev with a diplomatic passport under a false identity… Brennan, who has been called a «knuckle-dragging thug» by current and retired CIA officials who know him, is not the most welcomed figure in Ukraine if the Kiev authorities actually desire a peaceful outcome with its opponents…

People’s Unrest in South-Eastern Ukraine: Way Out of Crisis
14.04.2014 | 13:30 | Pyotr BOROVOY
The people’s unrest in the south-eastern part of Ukraine against the Kiev-based ruling group encompassed more cities last weekend. Actually Kiev is losing control over the Donetsk and Lugansk regions (with total population of over 6,5 million). There are two political forces opposing each other: those who came to power as a result of the coup and the civil resistance movement in the south-eastern part of the country that sprung to defend people’s rights. The main goal of the Kiev-based group is to legalize its power. The south-eastern protest movement (8 regions with 20 million of population) is to make Ukraine a federal state by holding referendums on self-determination…
Germans Attitude towards Putin’s Policy: «Mysterious Sympathy»
14.04.2014 | 00:00 | Natalia MEDEN
Ukraine has a special place in German media’s reporting. The US- defined pattern prevails at present. Russia is blamed for instigating the growing unrest in the south-east part of the country… The German Left Party is the only political force that recognizes Russia’s right to defend its interests. Unlike the Left Party members, independent critics of Germany’s foreign policy are destitute of chances to make public appeals. The New Rhenish Newspaper (the Neue Rheinische Zeitung) was the only one to publish a letter signed by 200 representatives of German intelligensia. Russian media told about it, but the fact was largely ignored in Germany. At that, the Putin’s policy has significant support. According to the poll conducted at the beginning of April, around 49 % (60 % in the East) of respondents do not approve tough treatment of Russia… German analysts try to explain the «mysterious sympathy» that Germans feel towards Russians…
On Zionism in France and its Opposing Forces
14.04.2014 | 00:00 | Olga CHETVERIKOVA
…Both François Hollande’s party and Nikolas Sarkozy’s party are currently defending the interests of exactly the same ruling circles, the leading members of which are involved in the closed paramasonic club Le Siècle (15 which, in turn, is one of the branches of a transnational network in operation throughout the world. We should not be surprised at the coordination of actions by the ‘right’ and ‘left’ exponents of these interests. Neither should we be surprised at the enthusiastic support that the pro-Zionist French government is giving to the fascist regime in Kiev, which is being financed by Israeli oligarchs…
‘Secret’ military bases in the Western Hemisphere
13.04.2014 | 12:08 | Nil NIKANDROV
In November 2013, the National Assembly of Nicaragua ratified the government’s decision allowing Russian military units, ships and aircraft to visit the republic in the first half of 2014. Their crews have also been given permission to take part in the professional training of Nicaraguan military personnel and to share with them their expertise… Russia’s Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu recently announced plans to increase the number of bases abroad. He also mentioned that talks were being held with Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Singapore and the Seychelles…
Europe: Growing Resistance to US Ukraine Policy
13.04.2014 | 00:00 | Nikolai BOBKIN
The United States has always tried to do its best to weaken Russia. Driving a wedge between Russia and the European Union is a priority mission. But Crimea and Ukraine frustrate the plans. Entangled in the Ukrainian crisis, Europe starts to doubt the expediency of following the US policy and displays its unwillingness to escalate the confrontation with Russia. As they say «Mutiny on the Bounty» is getting ripe, though most likely the revolt will go no further than undermining some US initiatives…
