5 July 2014 — Voice of Russia

US government is supplying the radical Islamist groups in Iraq and Syria with software they use to plan terrorist attacks, Iranian Press TV channel reported on Saturday citing local sources.

The channel further added that the US provides help to the militants via the Office for Syrian Opposition Support. Members of radical extremist groups like Takfir wal-Hijra are starting to actively utilize modern communication systems and social networks. And the US eagerly provides these militants with software that provides them with anonymous access to the World Wide Web resources.

Randy Short, a political analyst, told Press TV that Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIS) group that already established control over a number of cities and strategic locations in northern Iraq also became is an “offspring” of the West.

Earlier Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also said that the financial support the US provides to the Syrian opposition ends up in the hands of extremists. According to him, ISIS was created in Syria with the help of the US and fulfills the same role in Iraq as it did in Syria, RIA Novosti reports.
