Denying people healthcare harms us all. But, did you know that hospitals up and down the country are doing the Home Office’s dirty work: charging migrants thousands of pounds for healthcare and sharing their data with the Home Office.
This “policy” is a racist political move that has added to the work of NHS This has to stop. That’s why we’re asking for your support today. On Wednesday 21st October Patients Not Passports Merseyside will be presenting Liverpool University Hospital Foundations Trust (LUHFT) an open letter demanding they drop these inhumane policies. Will you add your name? |
We have just a few days to get as many signatures as possible. Many organisations and groups have already signed the letter, but you can sign as an individual too. |
I recently met with members of Patients Not Passports Merseyside. Dumie (not her real name) has lived in this country for over 20 years, and yet still finds herself being presented with a huge bill for a procedure she urgently needs. Paying this bill just isn’t an option for her – so she is effectively being turned away from the treatment. In the meantime doctors become border guards and our communities get sicker. Nobody wins. That’s why we’re raising our voices against this. We need you to join us. |
What We know that with your support we can build the people power we need to turn every hospital back into a space of healing and safety. |
The campaign is growing, but we need numbers—to show the NHS Trust that these racist policies do not represent our communities. Please take a minute now to sign the open letter and share this video to help spread the word. |
