The bombs mailed from Yemen and intercepted in the UK and Dubai last month, as well as other recently foiled attacks, are part of a scheme to score national security points for Barack Obama, says journalist Wayne Madsen.

Reports surfaced recently questioning the authenticity of the bombs, which officials claimed were addressed to Chicago synagogues. These reports suggest the bombs could have been part of a PR stunt, which Madsen says may have been “engineered” ahead of the election campaign.
