TONY BLIAR TO DO BOOK SIGNING FOR STOP THE WAR

When Tony Blair holds a signing of his memoirs on Wednesday 8 September at Waterstone’s Piccadilly, there will no photos with Blair and no personal dedications allowed, and all bags, backpacks and briefcases must be handed over, along with cameras and mobile phones.

Following objections to these conditions, Tony Bliar has agreed to hold an alternative book-signing for Stop the War Coalition outside Waterstone’s from 12.30pm. He will be signing his pamphlet, Iraq: The People’s Dossier, and will be happy to be photographed and write personal dedications.

It is of course possible that the book signing could be curtailed by a successful citizen’s arrest of the former prime minister — whose war crimes implicate him in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis — as was attempted when he was signing books in Dublin on Saturday.
