The Winner`s Parade in the Gaza Strip, or When «a Pillar of Cloud» Cleared
15.12.2012 | 00:00 | Dmitry MININ
No matter how hard Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with the Israeli propaganda machine claim that the outcome of operation «a Pillar of Cloud» against the Gaza Strip was a victory and a harsh lesson to the ruling Hamas movement there, it is now clear that in spite of the sustained sacrifices, Hamas was able to earn the greatest benefits from these events. This is evidenced by the unprecedented scale of the celebrations which were held in Gaza on December 8, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the creation of Hamas and coinciding with the cessation of military operations, during which Israel did not dare to venture into a ground invasion…
Egypt erupts in anger. Democracy is not the final word (II)
14.12.2012 | 00:00 | Melkulangara BHADRAKUMAR
Without doubt, the ground reality is that Islamism does enjoy majority support among the people of Egypt and it becomes all at once highly debatable today to argue that Morsi is imposing an agenda of ‘Islamization’. The real crisis today is three-fold. One, the polarization is very sharp but at the same time neither of the two ‘camps’ is cohesive, leave alone monolithic, with the Islamists relatively speaking, far better organized. Second, the unvarnished truth is that so-called opposition in Egypt is in effect refusing to settle for democratic verdict through free and fair election as the ultimate yardstick of political legitimacy of a regime that bases itself on representative rule. Third, most certainly, there is outside interference in Egypt’s current turmoil, which complicates matters to a point of dangerous deadlock and confrontation…
The Laziest Generations
14.12.2012 | 00:00 | Wayne MADSEN
Events that should be concluding in a series of overthrows of banker-controlled governments in Athens, Rome, Madrid, and Lisbon by united worker-student-pensioner popular fronts instead end up with establishment oligarchical political parties forming coalitions that answer only to the dictates of supranational contrivances of the global elite. Today, it is the European Union, the European Central Bank, and the International Monetary Fund that dictates who governs nations like Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, not the people of those countries…
The troubled Middle East and NATO`s future plans
13.12.2012 | 00:00 | Natalia MEDEN
The West is generously adding fuel to the fire in order to speed up the fall of the Syrian regime. Will it come to a military intervention? In any event, the United States has developed specific plans for a military intervention, which are already being undertaken. According to the Secretary General of NATO, the antimissile systems along the north-western border of Syria can be used to create a no-fly zone, and this is a well-trodden path towards military intervention. In addition to the NATO missile defense systems in the region, Germany is sending AWACS reconnaissance aircraft to potential future combat areas; it will be clear in which places and situations they will fly. Also the transfer of additional U.S. forces to Iraq has been written about, which suggests the preparation for a ground operation…
Egypt erupts in anger: Morsi’s grand bargain with US (I)
12.12.2012 | 00:00 | Melkulangara BHADRAKUMAR
…Morsi would know that Washington has made a considered decision by now that the US (and Israel) can do business with the Muslim Brotherhood. The bottom line for the US and Israel is that the Brothers have not shown the slightest interest in challenging Egypt’s peace treaty with Israel. Furthermore, both Washington and Tel Aviv expect Morsi to act as a moderating influence on Hamas in Gaza… In retrospect, therefore, the recent conflict in Gaza has turned out to be a litmus test of Morsi’s intentions. Suffice to say, from the US and Israeli viewpoint, Morsi passed the test with flying colors. Morsi consulted very closely with Obama during the crisis and ordered the Egyptian intelligence to collaborate with its Israeli counterpart in bringing the conflict to an end… What needs to be factored in here is that the Egyptian intelligence is a creation of the US and as one regional observer noted recently, it «operates as an extension of the CIA station in Egypt»…
The Reform of U.S. military intelligence. The main enemy is known
12.12.2012 | 00:00 | Nil NIKANDROV
…The current U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, a former head of the CIA, is better than anyone aware of the weaknesses of the DIA. At this moment, the intelligence service which employs 20 thousand people is unable to provide reliable U.S. military intelligence information. The implementation of strategic plans developed by the Pentagon for the next decade requires an effective military intelligence, a stronger and updated agency, especially in China, Russia, India, Brazil, Argentina and South Africa. Therefore a delay in further reforming the DIA was not possible…
«Dragon Family Gold» and US Federal Reserve System (III)
11.12.2012 | 00:00 | Valentin KATASONOV
According to one of the versions (David Wilcock, the Financial Tyranny), the Chinese gold had to be returned in 60 years, that is in 1998. Allegedly the successors of Guomindang, settled in Taiwan, went to the International Court in the Hague. The Court was said to hold close sessions and handed down the decision to return the gold no later than September 12, 2001, the day before the well-known events took place in New York, the terrorist act that destroyed the Twin Towers. They say there is a direct link between the 9/11 tragedy and the «black» gold, that had been stored under the Trade Center skyscrapers and mysteriously disappeared in the fire after the buildings went down…
«Dragon Family Gold» and US Federal Reserve System (II)
10.12.2012 | 00:00 | Valentin KATASONOV
David Wilcock, the author of a series of publications under a single name Financial Tyranny thinks the concentration of giant reserves of gold in clandestine storages was needed by the world oligarchy for the issuance of paper money flows without any back up. Some other authors share the support of this version referring to Adam Smith, who in his The Wealth of Nations made a thorough study of the woes inherent in the financial system backed by gold and the ways to make it without gold currency. He proved it to be evil for capitalists and the whole society. The only beneficiary of the gold standard, imposed on many states by the end of the XIX century, were the Rothschilds, who controlled the major portion of gold, at least in Europe, if not in the whole world…
Iran in the strategic plans of the U.S.
09.12.2012 | 13:38 | Elena PONOMAREVA
The Iranian issue, which had been pushed aside under the shadow of the U.S. presidential campaign, has once again come to the forefront. On November 30th, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated that «the U.S. administration is open to bilateral talks with Iran if Tehran will show a similar willingness to do so»… On November 17 The Washington Post published an article by Henry Kissinger « Iran must be President Obama’s immediate priority», in which, among the most important challenges facing the U.S. president and the one most demanding an urgent solution, he specified stopping Iran‘s nuclear program…
