I’ll start with the last point—Typepad software—the type used at MoA—preventing comments from posting because of the hyperlinks they contain. The article I was commenting on is “Russigate’s Role In Trump-Putin Relations,” one of two produced today. What follows is what I tried to post as a comment: (more…)

The Kremlin apparently came to the conclusion last week that it was about time to do some plain-speaking that US president Donald Trump’s quest for a 30-day ceasefire in the Ukraine war was a non-starter. Over the weekend, in a series of remarks, Trump reacted sharply that he’s “very angry” with President Vladimir Putin over his approach to the proposed ceasefire and threatened to levy tariffs on Moscow’s oil exports if the Russian leader does not agree to a truce within a month.
A mega-operation launched in seven states and the Federal District of Brazil to combat the illegal keeping and trade of genetically modified ornamental fish has so far resulted in 36 infraction notices, totalling R$2.38 million in fines, and the seizure of 58,482 modified specimens of species used in aquarium keeping. The agents found varieties of the species paulistinha (Danio rerio), tetra-negro (Gymnocorymbus ternetzi) and beta (Betta splendens) genetically modified to emit fluorescence by inserting genes from anemones or jellyfish, giving them strong colours, with the ability to bioluminesce when subjected to ultraviolet light. SAADA, northwest Yemen – It’s 2 pm on Wednesday, March 26, and I am standing in a deserted boulevard in Saada during Ramadan, in silence, surrounded by mountains, and watching a road sign telling me the Saudi border is only a two-hour drive away.

The day after the assassination of Palestinian journalist Hossam Shabat, the Israeli military openly celebrated his killing. A correspondent for Al Jazeera Mubasher and a contributor to Drop Site News, Shabat was killed on March 24 when the Israeli military targeted him as he was driving in his car in Beit Lahia. He was 23 years old. Earlier that day, journalist Mohamed Mansour of Palestine Today was killed, along with his wife and son, in an Israeli airstrike on his home in Khan Younis.
The assault on historical memory by the Trump administration is designed to obliterate our shared understanding of reality and whitewash the crimes of the past to whitewash the crimes of the present.
President Donald Trump’s latest executive order titled “RESTORING TRUTH AND SANITY TO AMERICAN HISTORY” replicates a tactic used by all authoritarian regimes. In the name of countering bias, they distort the nation’s history into self-serving mythology.
Soon after Hamas announced it had accepted a ceasefire proposal, Israel responded by heavily bombing Gaza, killing children dressed for the Eid holiday, and preparing further ground invasions.

Despite distancing itself from the corporate-funded “Project 2025” policy papers, the Trump administration is now systematically implementing every aspect of the policy blueprint;
The Trump administration has announced what is likely to be a multi-trillion dollar, over-budget, over-schedule 6th generation warplane built by notoriously corrupt and incompetent aerospace manufacturer Boeing – the stated purpose according to the Trump administration is to establish air dominance around the globe (rather than defending American airspace);
As the Trump administration continues Biden-era wars, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has proposed renaming the Department of Defense to the “Department of War,” part of a disturbing trend of embracing militarism and war abroad;
As the US continues negotiating with Russia regarding the war in Ukraine, it poses as a “mediator” in what is actually its own proxy war on Russia, demonstrating dishonesty and bad faith;
Senior members of the Trump administration “accidentally” invited a member of the US media into a Signal chat group discussing military operations against Yemen, most likely as an attempt to reinforce propaganda points regarding a supposed US-European “split,” and distract away from US operations against Yemen ultimately being part of a wider proxy war on Iran;
Also this week, President Trump has endorsed pro-war, pro-interventionist neocon Lindsey Graham for reelection – casting serious doubt on the Trump administration’s goal of fighting against, rather than propping up what is often referred to as the “deep state;”
Welcome to our latest Review, which leads with the tragic capitulation of EU member states to GMO industry interests in the rush to deregulate GMOs (EU GMO DEREGULATION PROPOSAL). It’s not over yet though, as the European Parliament and enough Member States could still stand up for consumers, farmers and nature, and demand safeguards are maintained in the final text. We also have the concerning BACKGROUND TO THE EU VOTE FOR GMO DEREGULATION. And we cover the parallel GMO deregulation plans in New Zealand (NEW ZEALAND GMO DEREGULATION PROPOSAL) and the UK’s “done deal” (UK GMO DEREGULATION), both of which look to be decidedly worse than what threatens in the EU.
Geopolitical analyst and journalist Pepe Escobar joins the program from inside the most country currently leading the way in standing up for human rights and peace worldwide: Yemen. In this must-watch stream, we discuss the truth about how the people of this war-torn country have been able to remain steadfast in their support of Gaza with ongoing ballistic missile strikes and a red sea blockade that has the US and Israel in total panic.
In what is now being called “Signalgate”, has served as an embarrassment for the Trump administration. Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor in chief at the Atlantic Magazine and former Israeli soldier, decided to expose a Signal group chat discussion by top Trump administration officials where they celebrated bombing Yemen and passed classified information through the phone app.
Donald Trump’s policies benefit wealthy elites at the expense of everyone else. His administration includes 13 billionaires, and he is cutting taxes on the rich while increasing them on the poor.
When Donald Trump campaigned to be US president in 2024, he promised he would help working-class Americans. He even did a photo op at a McDonald’s, pretending to be a fast food worker.
On March 13th, a bombshell judgment by the European Court of Human Rights found the Ukrainian government guilty of grave human rights breaches over the May 2nd 2014 Odessa massacre, in which dozens of Russian-speaking anti-Maidan activists were forced into the city’s Trade Unions House and burned alive by violent ultranationalist thugs. The explosive findings unambiguously uncover a concerted conspiracy by Ukrainian authorities to facilitate and exacerbate the grotesque killing, then insulate its perpetrators, and officials and state agencies which helped it happen, from justice.

In an unguarded moment, perhaps, ex-UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson blurted out recently in an interview that the ultranationalist elements who rule the roost in Kiev are a formidable obstacle to ending the war in Ukraine. For Johnson, this might be a blame game to absolve himself of responsibility, given his own dubious role as then PM (in cahoots with President Joe Biden) in undermining the Istanbul agreement in April 2022 to rev up the simmering conflict and turn it to a full-fledged US-led proxy war against Russia.
UN Women’s Special Representative in Palestine Maryse Guimond reported that between March 18 and 25, 830 people were killed, including 174 women and 322 children, while 1,787 others were injured.
“This means that 21 women and more than 40 children are being killed daily,” Guimond stated, emphasizing that “this is not collateral damage” but a “war in which women and children bear the heaviest burden.”
She condemned “Israel’s” ongoing war on Gaza, now in its 430th day, calling it “a war on women, on their dignity, their bodies, and their very survival.” She stressed that women and children account for nearly 60% of casualties, calling it “a horrifying testament to the indiscriminate nature of this violence.”
Guimond relayed urgent calls from women in Gaza and UN Women’s partners, who pleaded for an end to the Israeli war, saying survival is their only concern. She concluded by urging the enforcement of international humanitarian law to protect civilians.
The Trump administration seems to sincerely believe that it can make a deal on Ukraine that will not meet Russia’s repeatedly stated security needs, and that such a settlement will facilitate Russia’s acquiescence to a Western military attack on Iran and/or somewhat of a distancing of Russia from China. Even writing the above words makes plain the utter delusional state of anyone that believes such nonsense. But it does seem that the US administration is so deluded, a condition pointed to by the US extreme haste and lack of diplomatic professionalism and competence in its negotiations with Russia over Ukraine.
There are indications Israel may return to the negotiating table, but Netanyahu is still operating from his well-worn sabotage playbook to maintain his war of annihilation
