10. London Pacifism and Nonviolence Discussion Group
Housmans has a regular Pacifism and Nonviolence Discussion Group, which meet on the second Tuesday of the month. All are welcome, but please be prepared to join in the discussion. For more information please visit:http://londonpacifismnonviolence.wordpress.com/

The next meeting will be on Tuesday 9 July 2013 and the topic will be Pacifism and Personality.

Are certain “sorts” of people more likely to have a pacifist outlook? Or is any causality the other way round? Does deciding you’re a pacifist lead you to develop a certain type of personality?

Is there no necessary correlation at all between a political and/or philosophical and/or intellectual commitment to pacifism, on the one hand, and exhibiting any particular character traits on the other hand?

These – and no doubt many other – ideas will be bounced around at the July meeting. Please try to arrive by 7pm sharp.
