Community control of police advocates in the Washington, DC region say their approach is the best — and most democratic – way to achieve both defunding and total abolition of policing as it exists in the US. “What we’re pushing for,” said Netfa Freeman, of Pan African Community Action, “is a ballot initiative that would allow communities to kick out these police agencies” and establish their own security apparatus.

Hagan asks: “What does it mean for Europe to be policing African migration withinAfrica?”
