Viral Video Circulates as Julian Spends 1,000th Day in Belmarsh

5 January 2022 — Assange Defense

As the world waits for news on yet another round of legal battles over Julian Assange’s extradition, we have reached a somber milestone. Today is the 1,000th day Julian has spent in London’s notorious Belmarsh Prison.

Julian’s fiancée Stella Moris marks Julian’s 1,000th day in Belmarsh. (Twitter)

We’re making noise and calling out the hypocrisy of the U.S. government. They condemn China and other nations for infringing on “press freedom,” but we know the sad truth: the U.S. government’s commitment to press freedom is shaky, at best.

Check out our viral video on the Biden administration’s duplicitous press freedom rhetoric. It made waves before the holidays [with over 127,000 impressions], and we think today is the right day to get it trending again.

Our viral video uses the words of President Biden and key administration officials to show the U.S. government’s shaky commitment to press freedom. (Facebook | Twitter)

Will you help us spread the word and get the attention of the powers that be? Remind them of the suffering that Julian has endured for 1,000 days in Belmarsh. Don’t let them hide behind dishonest rhetoric that the U.S. government stands for press freedom!

Please boost our video on social media (Facebook link | Twitter link).
