Syria’s UN Rep. Jaafari Puts Saudi Arabia in Its Place

19 October 2018 — 21st CenturyWire

Imagine a country where a royal family spends billions of dollars on US and UK weaponry in order to increase their domestic and regional hegemony, engaging in a brutal regime change wars by force by bombing its neighbors, as well as funding and arming radical Wahhabi terrorists throughout the Middle East, particularly in Syria, along with killing and beheading hundreds of its own citizens and activists. Would such a country be entitled to demand that Syria reforms its democracy and rewrites the Syrian constitution?

What’s Going On in Idlib, Syria’s Demilitarized Zone? By Stephen Lendman

17 October 2018 — Strategic Culture Foundation

What’s Going On in Idlib, Syria’s Demilitarized Zone?

In mid-September, Putin and Turkey’s Erdogan agreed on establishing a 15 – 20 km-wide demilitarized zone in Idlib province along the Turkish border.

Russian and Turkish forces will control the zone, an offensive to liberate Idlib put on hold at least until later this year, maybe not until 2019.

Full withdrawal of US-supported terrorists was to be completed by October 15, the deadline missed because al-Nusra and allied jihadists refuse to disarm and leave – likely at the behest of Washington, their paymaster.

SYRIA EXCLUSIVE: Vanessa Beeley Meets the White Helmets and Armed Group Leader in Daraa Al Balad

17 October 2018 — 21st CenturyWire

[This is a massive and comprehensive resource on the terrorist organisation, funded by the US and British imperialists, the so-called White Helmets. So large in fact, that just transposing to The New Dark Age, is too complicated due to format conversion, so I’ve decided to put up a section of it instead with a link through to the complete article. But this resource needs as wide a distribution as possible. I think it sets a benchmark for independent journalists investigating the machinations of the Empire. Read on . . . WB]

“If you shout at us we will cry, we are so sensitive” Abu Mohanad Al Mahamid told me on the 20th September 2018.  Al Mahamid is the leader of the still-functioning White Helmet center in Dara’a Al Balad to the south of Damascus in Syria. Al Mahamid had donned his white helmet for the camera before he spoke to us about the role of these White Helmets who had remained in Dara’a Al Balad, when other White Helmet members had boarded the buses for Idlib with Nusra Front or for Israel and Jordan as part of the special evacuation organised by the members of the US Coalition.

Chemical Weapons In Syria? BBC Panorama Relies On Questionable Research

16 October 2018 — Tim Hayward

This is a press release issued by the Global Network for Syria (Corresponding author Baroness Cox <carolinecox1@outlook.com>)

A joint investigation by BBC Panorama and BBC Arabic claimed to show how chemical weapons have been used by the Syrian Government as part of a deliberate military strategy. Yet there are serious concerns over the investigation’s reliance on ‘broadly impartial’ sources — who are not named — and consequently the reliability of the report’s findings.

The United States Did It Again: Its Warplanes Use White Phosphorous Munitions in Syria By Peter Korzun

14 October 2018 — Strategic Culture Foundation

The US-led coalition used white phosphorus (WP) munitions while delivering air strikes against the Syrian province of Deir Ez-Zor on Oct. 13. The attack resulted in civilian casualties. Last month, WP munitions were also used by two US Air Force (USAF) F-15s in an attack on the town of Hajin in Deir-ez-Zor. The Syrian government has repeatedly condemned the US-led coalition, which claims that the need to fight ISIS justifies its military actions, while denying the fact it is using white phosphorous projectiles.

Implication of creating a modern integrated management of the Syrian air space By Valentin Vasilescu

8 October 2018 — VoltaireNet

The new Russian system of integrated management of data on the Syrian battlefield, is not uniquely conceived to prevent Israeli aggressions. It also makes it impossible for the United States and France to provide air support for their illegal bases in Syria. This is why, anticipating defeat, Ambassador James Jeffrey has called for US occupation forces to be withdrawn.
