Exclusive: ADL pushed BMG to drop Roger Waters by threatening to weaponize company’s Nazi past
The Grayzone has obtained a private letter authored by ADL (Anti-Defamation League) director Jonathan Greenblatt threatening to weaponize the Nazi past of the BMG music company unless executives terminated a major deal with Roger Waters. BMG has publicly denied Israel lobby influence on its decision to nix Waters’ contract.

The United States vetoed a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza for the third time in a row since October 7th.
13 members of the council supported the resolution drafted by Algeria, while Britain chose to abstain.
There is propaganda by commission and propaganda by omission, the former often serve to conceal the latter. Timing is crucial.
That the U.S. President Joseph Biden, his British, NATO, Israeli allies, and their corporate media mouthpieces are in need of a major propaganda victory is obvious. They are losing the war in Ukraine, have been condemned throughout the world for the genocide in Gaza, and are ruling over a disintegrating empire. Biden and Netanyahu’s political lives are at serious risk. And so they have just rolled out a full-court propaganda press effort aimed at covering their losses. It should be crystal clear to anyone who can use logic to see the timing involved.

In recent days, the Zionist State has launched a series of brutal strikes against the city of Rafah, in south of the Strip, close to the border with Egypt’s Sinai. The region has served as a refuge for thousands of Palestinians who have fled their homes in the northern areas of Gaza since the start of the conflict. By bombing Rafah, Tel Aviv makes it clear that there will be no security for Palestinians anywhere in Gaza.
A conflict of interest?
An investigation by DeclassifiedUK has uncovered that one of the two High Court judges entrusted with deciding Julian Assange’s extradition case has prior ties to the UK’s External Intelligence Agency (MI6) and the Ministry of Defence, both entities whose activities WikiLeaks has exposed.

Speaking at the White House, Joe Biden said the Russian president was “responsible” for the death of Mr Navalny, while David Cameron, the Foreign Secretary, said: “Putin’s Russia fabricated charges against him, poisoned him, sent him to an arctic penal colony and now he has tragically died.
“Putin should be accountable for what has happened. No one should doubt the dreadful nature of his regime.”
Celebrities rally around Israel for the Eurovision
Despite widespread calls for Israel’s exclusion from this year’s Eurovision competition due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, hundreds of entertainment industry veterans, including Helen Mirren, Liev Schreiber, Boy George, Gene Simmons, and Julianna Marguilies, have expressed their support for the European Broadcasting Union’s decision to include Israel in the event. The letter they signed was put together by Israel lobby group The Creative Community for Peace, an instrument of StandWithUs.
Despite accusations of the British government’s complicity in the ongoing genocide in Gaza through its arms support to Israel, the government has awarded a new contract to Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest arms firm.
The Ministry of Defence contract was signed on January 17th and represents the first contract with Elbit’s UK subsidiary since the start of Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza.
The US has conducted numerous wars since the end of what is euphemistically called the post war era:
Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen… and now Palestine and Ukraine.
The unspoken objective is not to “win the war” but to engineer the destruction of entire countries, create political and social chaos, with a view to ultimately “picking up the pieces” and taking control of the national economies of sovereign nation states.
A new MintPress report from Yemen highlights the destruction caused by incessant US bombing of the nation. US-led forces have now carried out at least 320 airstrikes on the country, including at least 86 last week.
