Inside the mind of a psychopath and the Chilcot ‘Inquiry’ By William Bowles

1 February 2010

blair_smug_appeaserReams have been written about the appearance of Tony Blair at the so-called inquiry. Very few if any have even come close to identifying the real nature of the beast called Tony Blair.

Were he a working class man, head of a crime gang for example, Blair’s ‘pathology’ would have been central to most mainstream media coverage, revealing the class bias in how the the media treat the ruling elites. His judgment, even his arrogance maybe questioned but not his mental state.

There seems to be some disagreement over what constitutes a sociopath or psychopath but in trawling the web I came across all kinds of definitions. For example,

not learning from experience
no sense of responsibility
inability to form meaningful relationships
inability to control impulses
lack of moral sense
chronically antisocial behavior
no change in behavior after punishment
emotional immaturity
lack of guilt
self-centeredness — 9types.com

Dictionary.com put it this way:

“[A] person, as a psychopathic personality, whose behavior is antisocial and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience.“ — dictionary.com

All the sources I looked at came to pretty much the same conclusion and with all of them sharing the following criteria: No sense of responsibility; lack of moral sense; lack of guilt; self-centeredness; not learning from experience. Others stress the psychopath’s inability to empathize. And here’s a quote from another site that has gathered together a summation of all the different interpretations of the word/s.

“They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.” — http://www.mcafee.cc/Bin/sb.html

And under the heading of ‘Shallow Emotions’ we read:

“When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.”

When searching through the sources I came across the following, also taken from the mcafee site that really hits the spot as a description not only of Tony Blair but of many people in positions that give them virtually absolute power over people’s lives (and deaths).

THE MALIGNANT PERSONALITY:

These people are mentally ill and extremely dangerous!

The following precautions will help to protect you from the destructive acts of which they are capable.

First, to recognize them, keep the following guidelines in mind.

(1) They are habitual liars. They seem incapable of either knowing or telling the truth about anything.

(2) They are egotistical to the point of narcissism. They really believe they are set apart from the rest of humanity by some special grace.

(3) They scapegoat; they are incapable of either having the insight or willingness to accept responsibility for anything they do. Whatever the problem, it is always someone else’s fault.

(4) They are remorselessly vindictive when thwarted or exposed.

(5) Genuine religious, moral, or other values play no part in their lives. They have no empathy for others and are capable of violence. Under older psychological terminology, they fall into the category of psychopath or sociopath, but unlike the typical psychopath, their behavior is masked by a superficial social facade.

If you have come into conflict with such a person or persons, do the following immediately!

(1) Notify your friends and relatives of what has happened. Do not be vague. Name names, and specify dates and circumstances. Identify witnesses if possible and provide supporting documentation if any is available.

YesMen: Queen of England ends poverty?

29 January 2010

The YesMen are at it again – this time they prank Davos to bring attention to important causes. A press release was sent out from the World Economic Forum, describing how “world leaders” in Davos have pledged a “strategy to end poverty now.” A statement from World Economic Forum Chair Klaus Schwab read, “In light of the recent tragedy in Haiti, which was already on the brink due to free-market policies, it is clear that taking a new tack to end poverty is morally necessary.”

The Battle of the Titans: JP Morgan Versus Goldman Sachs Or Why the Market Was Down for 7 Days in a Row By Ellen Brown

29 January, 2010 — Global ResearchWeb of Debt – 2010-01-28

We are witnessing an epic battle between two banking giants, JPMorgan Chase (Paul Volcker) and Goldman Sachs (Geithner/Summers/Rubin). Left strewn on the battleground could be your pension fund and 401K.

The late Libertarian economist Murray Rothbard wrote that U.S. politics since 1900, when William Jennings Bryan narrowly lost the presidency, has been a struggle between two competing banking giants, the Morgans and the Rockefellers. The parties would sometimes change hands, but the puppeteers pulling the strings were always one of these two big-money players. No popular third party candidate had a real chance at winning, because the bankers had the exclusive power to create the national money supply and therefore held the winning cards.

In 2000, the Rockefellers and the Morgans joined forces, when JPMorgan and Chase Manhattan merged to become JPMorgan Chase Co. Today the battling banking titans are JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs, an investment bank that gained notoriety for its speculative practices in the 1920s. In 1928, it launched the Goldman Sachs Trading Corp., a closed-end fund similar to a Ponzi scheme. The fund failed in the stock market crash of 1929, marring the firm’s reputation for years afterwards. Former Treasury Secretaries Henry Paulson, Robert Rubin, and Larry Summers all came from Goldman, and current Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner rose through the ranks of government as a Summers/Rubin protégé. One commentator called the U.S. Treasury Goldman Sachs South.

The Fateful Geological Prize Called Haiti By F. William Engdahl

30 January, 2010 — Global Research

President becomes UN Special Envoy to earthquake-stricken Haiti.

A born-again neo-conservative US business wheeler-dealer preacher claims Haitians are condemned for making a literal pact with the Devil.

Venezuelan, Nicaraguan, Bolivian, French and Swiss rescue organizations accuse the US military of refusing landing rights to planes bearing necessary medicines and urgently needed potable water to the millions of Haitians stricken, injured and homeless.

Behind the smoke, rubble and unending drama of human tragedy in the hapless Caribbean country, a drama is in full play for control of what geophysicists believe may be one of the worlds richest zones for hydrocarbons-oil and gas outside the Middle East, possibly orders of magnitude greater than that of nearby Venezuela.

Haiti, and the larger island of Hispaniola of which it is a part, has the geological fate that it straddles one of the worlds most active geological zones, where the deepwater plates of three huge structures relentlessly rub against one anotherthe intersection of the North American, South American and Caribbean tectonic plates. Below the ocean and the waters of the Caribbean, these plates consist of an oceanic crust some 3 to 6 miles thick, floating atop an adjacent mantle. Haiti also lies at the edge of the region known as the Bermuda Triangle, a vast area in the Caribbean subject to bizarre and unexplained disturbances.

In the Wake of War: Gaza One Year On

1 February, 2010 — Medical Aid for Palestine

We are pleased to present our first short film, In the Wake of War: Gaza One Year On. This film is the first in a series of short films which we will release over the course of 2010. The next film, focusing on the blockade of Gaza, will be released in February.

MAP FILMS visit the Gaza Strip and speak to its residents 1 year on from the Israeli Operation ‘Cast Lead’ that killed nearly 1,400 people.

This film is based on interviews and filming we did in December in Gaza, in the run up to the anniversary of Operation Cast Lead. In the Wake of War is testimony-based, telling but some of the stories of survival, tragedy, and ongoing hardship in Gaza – with no effective action to end the blockade, no reconstruction, no accountability.

In the Wake of War can also be viewed on our website:

Very best,
Andrea

Settler Attack in Sheikh Jarrah with M-16

31 January, 2010

After verbal taunting, a settler in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah left the Gawi house which he and other settlers have occupied since August 2009. He descended the stairs with an M-16 and pushed a teenage boy. When neighborhood adults stepped in to protect the teenager, he pushed Nasser Gawi and then punched him. Seconds later the settler cocked his M-16 and pointed it wildly at the crowd that had gathered. In this video you can clearly see the first punch thrown by the settler and clearly hear the cock of his gun.

Is the EU Helping Mossad to Commit International Terror?

31 January, 2010 — Palestine Think Tank

eu-mossad.jpgOn past 20 January, Mohammad Al-Mabhouh was assassinated in a hotel in Dubai by Mossad people holding EU passports. According to the press, four to seven Israeli Mossad death squads assassinated Al-Mabhouh in his hotel room at the Al-Bostan, Rotana hotel in Dubai. The Mossad injected Al-Mabhouh with a drug which leads to a heart attack. They made copies of all documents he had, and then left his room after hanging a sign on the door with the words “Please do not disturb.”

One day before the assassination of Al-Mabhouh, the Israeli infrastructure minister, an extremist squatter, and an organizer of the destruction of the Palestinian houses in Jerusalem and the West bank, Uzi Landau, left the neighboring Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Uzi Landau had been in Abu Dhabi from January 15 to 19, 2010.

Al-Mabhouh.jpgThe Abu Dhabi regime invited the Israeli squatter and terrorist Landau to attend the conference of the agency of renewable energies, which was held in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Minister Landau entered Abu Dhabi with a team of mossad death squads who were with him under the pretext of being his security attachment. It appears that the people posing as Landau’s security attachment were involved in organizing the murder of Mohammad Al-Mabhouh in the neighboring State of Abu Dhabi.

WHAT NEXT FOR HAITI AS “RECOVERY” REPLACES RELIEF? By Danny Schecter

31 January, 2010 — Media Channel

As Media Coverage Fades, Urgent Issues On The Disaster Go Uncovered

UN Takes Over Aid Distribution; Admits Effort Has Been a Failure

Haiti is already fading from the headlines. The desperation of the population in what was called the “rescue” phase of the relief effort is giving way to ‘silver-lining” talk of recovery and rebuilding.

Even as the death count mounts, this apocalyptic disaster no longer has the ability to shock, perhaps because of media overexposure. The media well of compassion—fueled by images of lovable orphans and live extractions of half-dead individuals from the rubble,, is running dry as a ‘been there, done that’ feeling sets in among TV execs who sense that the audience will soon become jaded and turn away.

Perhaps that’s why the story turned quickly from the dead and dying to celebrities telling Larry King how much money they are donating. Perhaps that’s why the plight of sympathetic children took center-stage.

The reporters who have been there are all tired, and in some cases traumatized because of the vast needs they saw. However, most were gentle in chronicling the pathetic delivery of food and water despite the amazing outpouring of sympathy and generosity. Recently a homeless shelter in Baltimore donated $14.64.

Because of the suffering they have shown us, much of it as character-based human interest vignettes, correspondents seemed to have had little airtime for investigating what history might someday indict as an incompetent, if not criminally negligent, aid response.
