Kerry Takes up Syria in Moscow: Start of Bumpy Road or Attempt to Inveigle into Foul Play?

11.05.2013 | 00:00 | Dmitry MININ

…The Assad’s government remains stable enough; Russia, China and other states are staunch preventing an outside intervention. But by endorsing the Russian initiative Washington pursues its own goals… There is no ground to believe the most ardent radicals will give up arms. The pro-Western opposition would also like to enter the capital backed up by the force ready to support it further on… It’s expedient no avoid Russia being used for pushing Assad to make unilateral concessions. Like, for instance, it was done the 1990s when Milosevic led Serbia during the Yugoslavian crisis. Then they will exert pressure on Damascus keeping Russia away…

Abe Government Preparing for the Depopulation of Japan

11.05.2013 | 00:00 | Wayne MADSEN

Informed Japanese sources have told WMR that Japan’s right-wing Liberal Democratic Party government of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is laying plans for the forced depopulation of most of the Japanese archipelago due to the deadly radiation emanating from the crippled Fukushima Daichi nuclear reactors. The complete depopulation of heavily-contaminated Tohoku and Kanto regions are already underway… Israel, the originator of the Stuxnet computer virus that resulted in the Fukushima reactor meltdown in the first place, appears ready to take full advantage of Japan’s misery and winds of political and economic change in Asia…

Boston Terror Act: Use of Double Agents is Risky Business

10.05.2013 | 00:00 | Dmitry MININ

…So the Federal Investigation Service was cunning enough saying it knew nothing about the Tsarnaev brothers in response to the 2011 Russia’s FSB warning. The perfectly knew the brothers had connections in the Caucasus, it was the FBI who sent them there after all. No matter Washington declares we are in the same boat fighting terrorism, the United States leaves a room of action when it comes to classifications. It defines on its own who is a terrorist and who is a freedom fighter depending on circumstances. If the fighters pose no threat to the United States, then why not try to use them against Russia?..

Israel Draws Allies into Syrian Conflict

09.05.2013 | 16:39 | Dmitry MININ

…It’s obvious, Israeli strategists rely of technological edge. Politicians should take into account that Irsael’s involvement into the Syrian conflict on the side of the opposition will not make the government more popular in the eyes of population and will finally pour water on the mill of Muslim radicals. The West and Israel stubbornly refuse to support the national reconciliation in Syria striving for unilateral domination. Bloodshed and destruction is on the rise, as well as the chances to succeed of the loyal forces. There is a vicious circle of crimes and mistakes: Iraq, Libya, now Syria, stepping on the same rakes over and over again…

Gold Passions Around Basel III

09.05.2013 | 00:00 | Valentin KATASONOV

The validation of the Basel III standards in a number of countries in 2013 is a serious indication that gold has returned to the world of money. We are not yet talking about the classical gold standard, of course, whereby banks are able to freely exchange paper money for metal. But metal may become more widely used to cover banks’ liabilities and be a financial asset of the «highest authority». Who knows, maybe in the future, when banks have accumulated enough gold, the issue of the reinstatement of the gold standard will be put back on the agenda…

The Sponsors of «Chechen» Terrorism and the Boston Bombings (II)

08.05.2013 | 00:00 | Nikolai MALISHEVSKI

…The Finnish media has noted that Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnayev received instructions through the site «Caucasus Center», which migrated from Sweden to Helsinki and acted as a mouthpiece for terrorist Doku Umarov, called the «Russian Osama Ben Laden» in the West. «Caucasus Center» has a large number of servers in the U.S. It is banned in a number of countries, but that doesn’t hinder it from operating under the protection of individuals who took part in the Beslan massacre and are wanted by Interpol on charges of committing especially dangerous crimes. «Caucasus Center» is still under the protection of high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Development and the Migration Service of Finland, which have granted asylum to many former rebels…

Third Strike

08.05.2013 | 00:00 | Dmitriy SEDOV

This is the third attack recently. Now nobody can say Israel stands aside. The conflict in Syria spills over the national borders to encompass other international actors… The fact that Israel sides with the forces of terror appears to be something out of ordinary. It’s a long time since Israel started to use terrorist methods against Palestinians, but there have been no reports on their cooperation with Al Qaeda as yet… The following reports are noteworthy: the Pentagon has come up with a number of action plans to intervene into the Syrian conflict…

The Sponsors of «Chechen» Terrorism and the Boston Bombings (I)

07.05.2013 | 08:08 | Nikolai MALISHEVSKI

After the Boston bombings, the U.S. media were filled with news about «Chechen terrorists» and headlines along the lines of «The Russian Caucasus is a Hotbed of Terrorism» and «Russian Chechnya is Fertile Soil for Terror». But the world news agencies try not to mention that many extremist and terrorist organizations which are banned in Russia operate freely in the West, first and foremost on the territory of the U.S. and its allies. So we’ll fill in a few gaps…

Israel Pours Fuel on Middle East Fire

07.05.2013 | 00:00 | Andrei AKULOV

On May 5 Israeli warplanes struck areas in and around the Syrian capital allegedly targeting a shipment of high precision Iranian-made Fateh-110 missiles to be transported to Lebanon’s Hezbollah group. The military research center in Jamraya was hit… On May 3 Israeli aircraft hit a shipment of missiles near the Lebanon’s border. Two air strikes in two days signal a sharp escalation of Israel’s involvement in Syria’s civil war… Sometime before – on March 19 – Adm. James Stavridis, the commander of U.S. European Command, said that NATO was conducting contingency planning for possible military involvement in Syria…

John Kerry Comes to Russia: US Tactical Nukes Stay in Europe

06.05.2013 | 00:00 | Andrei AKULOV

US State Secretary John Kerry comes to Moscow on May 7. Tom Donilon, US National Security Adviser, went to Moscow last month to deliver a President Obama’s message to Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, which included proposals to cut the two countries’ nuclear arsenals and finding a compromise in the running dispute over US plans for a missile defense system in Europe… It’s important to take into consideration an obvious fact – Russian tactical nukes are not capable to strike the continental US, while the American warheads are actually an addition to the strategic potential with the range allowing to deliver strikes against Russian infrastructure in Europe…

Caucasus Emirate in Europe

06.05.2013 | 00:00 | Dmitriy SEDOV

…To some extent, the Boston act has moved the issue of Caucasian terrorist activities in Europe and the United States into light… The motives driving the Tsarnaev brother’s actions are taking shape. The brothers abused the US hospitality to become kind of delayed-action bomb. What about the «Battalion of Chechen Martyrs» and two hundred members of the Caucasian Emarate in Germany? Is it all really «under tight surveillance»?

US Boosts Middle East Alliance

05.05.2013 | 00:00 | Andrei AKULOV

…The US is obviously on the way to significantly boost the military capabilities of the Middle East allies. The new policy under the conditions of economic hardships is to compensate the reduction of the military presence by increasing the allies’ capabilities. It’s enough to have a cursory look at the military aid package offered by Mr. Hagel to understand the US is arming these states before attacking Iran and Syria. With US presence dwindled the regional arms race is spurred, the security risks are up and the goal of global domination is very much alive in US foreign policy thinking…
