Written by Frank Paparelli and Dizzy Gillespie in 1942, “A Night in Tunisia’ has since become a jazz standard. Charlie Parker, Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, Ella Fitzgerald, Sonny Rollins and Victor Wooten have all performed covers.

This performance of the song from The Jimmy Smith Quintet is from 1986. Personnel: Jon Faddis, trumpet; James Moody, alto sax; Kenny Burrell, guitar; Jimmy Smith, organ; Grady Tate, drums.
