16 July 2020 — London Renters Union
Hello everyone–
What: Stop Evictions Training
When: Wednesday 29th July 2020 6pm-8pm
Location: Via Zoom. Instructions on how to join will be sent to everyone who registers.
Want to know how to prevent and resist evictions? This is the training for you!
The government has announced that they plan to reopen courts for possession hearings on August 24. They are prioritising the profits of landlords over the rights of renters. Thousands of our members who have gotten into debt to their landlord because of Covid could be at risk of eviction.
We need to keep pushing the government to cancel rent debt and protect renters from eviction. We also need to do everything we can to support each other to stay in our homes and prevent and resist evictions.
The Member Solidarity working group wants to empower as many of our members as possible to keep their homes by learning about our rights and ways that we can stick up for each other!
Register for our free training here.
Come to our Stop Evictions training to learn how you can help stop evictions. It will cover:

- How can you use invalid eviction notices to your advantage?

- Tips on how to safely resist an eviction
- How you can be a part of stopping evictions of our members
