    Friday, 11 July 2025 — Danny Haiphong

Yemen just sunk multiple Israeli-connected ships in the Red Sea as Trump’s war threats toward all of BRICS, including its biggest leaders Russia and China, ramp up. Geopolitical analyst Ben Norton joins to discuss the major changes underway in the world as the US loses its grip on hegemony.

Who Says a Chicken Feather Can’t Fly up to Heaven?: The Twenty-Eighth Newsletter (2025)

    10 July 2025 — The Tricontinental

    Dear friends,

Greetings from the desk of Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research.

In 1957, Mao Zedong oversaw the publication of Socialist Upsurge in China’s Countryside, a three-volume collection of articles compiled by the Communist Party of China for the political education of the peasantry. The following year, selections from these volumes were republished in abridged and regional editions. One such edition included a report from the Anyang Regional Communist Party Committee’s Office for the Co-operative Movement with an introduction by Mao. The text, called ‘Who Says a Chicken Feather Can’t Fly up to Heaven?’, provides the title for this newsletter.

Trump in SHOCK: Putin, China & Iran DEVASTATE His War Plan w/ Brian Berletic, Carl Zha & KJ Noh

    Thursday, 10 July 2025 — Danny Haiphong

Donald Trump has unloaded in an unprecedented escalation against the rising multipolar world, but he wasn’t expecting Russia, China & Iran to respond like this. In this critical livestream, geopolitical experts Brian Berletic, Carl Zha and KJ Noh join to break down the march to WW3 under the so-called “peace president.”

Will the ban on Palestine Action terrify enough people into silence?

    Tuesday, 8 July 2025 — NetPol

The proscription is part of a wider push to stifle dissent in an increasingly authoritarian Britain

This article first appeared on the Freedom website

The repression of political dissent in Britain has been escalating for years: first against Black Lives Matter and environmental campaigners and now the Palestine solidarity movement. Throughout the last 20 months, campaigners have been demonised, accused of ‘radicalisation’, placed under increasing police surveillance and subjected to a toxic and invariably racist discourse in both Westminster and the mainstream media. All of this has been deliberately designed to undermine the legitimacy of calls for action on Gaza and to encourage the public, especially Jewish communities, to feel fearful of Palestine protesters.

LABOUR IN GOVERNMENT, IT WAS ALWAYS GOING TO END IN TEARS

Tuesday, 8 July 2025 — the planning motive

It is one year since the last general election. It took only a year for the Labour Government to melt down. Labour not only sold its principles but its soul to manage a capitalist economy in crisis. Not so much power and prestige as a poisoned chalice. Instead, humiliation and ruin will be their due.

The UK economy is in trouble. The tax receipts spell it out. Taxes paid are the best barometer of economic activity. They are more honest than official data with their modelling and SAD (Seasonal Adjustment Disorder) effects. All data in the table below is taken from the spreadsheet found on this ONS Website.

Pepe Escobar: Putin & Iran’s BOMBSHELL STUNS Israel, War on BRICS Begins

    Tuesday, 8 July 2025 — Danny Haiphong

Trump & Israel fired the first shot in a major war on BRICS as Iran’s resilient defense shocks the world. Geopolitical analyst Pepe Escobar joined the program directly after Iran’s attack on a US air base in Qatar to react to the significance of the 12-day war and what’s to come as the Collective West panics over the power of the multipolar world led by the emerging BRICS countries.

10 Year Plan for England’s NHS – Week One

    Tuesday, 9 July 2025 — medConfidential

The new “Ten Year Plan” shifts decision-making power from you and your family doctor to hospitals and technology companies. There are wordings from the political leadership about patients owning data, but the depths of the policy machine seems to suggest there be a day soon when you ask the NHS to opt your data out of being used for purposes other than your care, and it will do less than it does today.

Just 1.6% of all world’s adults own 48.1% of all the world’s personal wealth

Tuesday, 8 July 2025 — Michael Roberts Blog

Every year, I do a post on the inequality of global wealth using the annual data compiled by economists working for the Swiss bank, Credit Suisse.  But Credit Suisse is now no more, swept away by scandal and the banking crisis of 2023.  The other major Swiss bank, UBS, took over the assets of CS and now produces its own annual Global Wealth report.  It’s not so clear and useful as the CS ones were, but nevertheless, it still produces a global wealth pyramid, as below.

With the support received by the Communist candidate, the possibility now clearly opens to continue pursuing and working toward more rights for the majority of Chilean men and women—with stability and security. Now more than ever, we can dream with our feet on the ground, with hope and realism, with confidence and commitment.

Who Really Won The ’12-Day War’?

    Sunday, 6 July 2025 — Global Delinquents

    Kit Klarenberg

On June 13th, Tel Aviv launched a criminal, unprovoked military strike on Iran. Israeli jets bombed military and nuclear sites, while in-country Mossad-run sleeper cells carried out sabotage missions against air and missile defense systems, and drones smuggled into Tehran were launched against local missile launch bases. Scores – figures vary – of nuclear scientists and high-ranking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commanders, and their families, were murdered with pinpoint precision. Chaos and uncertainty appeared to reign supreme.

What will happen now that Palestine Action is banned?

Saturday, 5 July 2025 — Palestine is still the issue

Watch our discussion of the UK crackdown.

    Asa Winstanley

Police assaulted peaceful protesters in London on Friday as the High Court considered Palestine Action’s emergency application for their ban to be frozen. (Still from my video)

On The Electronic Intifada livestream on Thursday, we discussed the then-forthcoming UK ban of Palestine Action.

Absurdly, the direct action protest group has now been designated by the Israel-backed UK regime as a proscribed “terrorist” group (despite the fact that it does not use violence and has never harmed people, as opposed to property).

Will “terrorist” ban stop Palestine Action?

In the discussion segment, we talked about the practical implications of the ban, what is now likely to happen and the prospects for civil disobedience against this new proscription in the UK.

Since we initially broadcast this discussion on Thursday, Palestine Action’s bid for interim relief the following day failed at the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

The ban went into effect at midnight on Friday night.

No comments on Palestine Action ban in place from midnight

Palestine Action ban in place from midnight

    Friday, 8 July 2025 — NetPol

From midnight on Friday 4 July, Palestine Action will become a banned terrorist organisation.

Yvette Cooper’s decision to ban the group came after a protest at RAF Brize Norton, in which red paint was thrown on military jets. Four people have been remanded in custody after the action, to appear in court at the Old Bailey on 18 July.

The government has created an extraordinary precedent that future protests involving criminal damage – like spraying a plane with paint – may face an increased likelihood of the same terrifying label and subsequent criminalisation and demonisation. You can read Netpol’s statement on the decision here.

Despite a long history of anti-militarist action at airbases which has not been treated as terrorism, despite the latest court ruling in which the UK government accepted there is a clear risk that Israel is committing war crimes using UK-supplied armaments, and despite hundreds of expert lawyers and legal academics warning that this ban is a “terrifying blow to our civil liberties“, the government have declared Palestine Action a ‘terrorist’ group.

Counter-terrorism laws are used in an explictly racist and Islamophobic way, and give the police wide ranging and poorly defined powers.

We’ve produced an explainer to help you understand what the ban will mean in practice. The guide covers:

    • What the law says about terrorism and proscribed organisations
    • What actions and expressions of support will be banned
    • What the legal penalties for breaking this ban are

We also answer some common questions about what will and won’t be considered a potential criminal offence. The law criminalizes a wide range of actions, and it remains to be seen how the police plan to enforce this. We’re working on expanding this FAQ, so send your questions to info@netpol.org. Netpol will be monitoring the impact in the coming weeks and you can also report police incidents to us this way.

Read the full guide on the Netpol website now, and share it on BlueSky, Instagram and Facebook to help us get this guidance out.

Palestine Action head tells the UK high court to delay the British government’s terrorist proscription

    Friday, 8 June 2025 — MintPress News

    UPDATE

On Friday, Huda Ammori, co-founder of the pro-Palestinian group Palestine Action, lost her bid to halt the UK government’s move to ban the group under anti-terror laws while she challenges the decision in court.

Ammori, who co-founded the group in 2020, had asked London’s High Court to delay the government’s proscription of Palestine Action as a ‘terrorist organization’ until a full legal hearing later this month, where she argues the ban is unlawful.

The UK government moved to outlaw the group this week after its members broke into a Royal Air Force base and damaged two aircraft in protest of Britain’s support for the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

If the ban proceeds, it would be a criminal offense to belong to Palestine Action, carrying a maximum prison sentence of 14 years.

The activist group, responsible for shutting down Israeli weapons factories in the UK, will be classified as a terrorist organisation by midnight if an appeal to the British High Court fails to deliver results.

Youssef Abdelké (Syria), Red Figures, 1994.

    Dear friends,

Greetings from the desk of Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research.

A decade ago, I was a fly on the wall during a trade negotiation between the United States and a small country in Southeast Asia. What interested me was not the substance of the negotiation, the deliberations around an issue of minor concern to world affairs but of great concern to this one country, but the disproportionality between the personnel at the negotiating table.

The British Parliament will soon vote on whether to ban Palestine Action

    Monday, 30 June 2025 — MintPress News

This move, to proscribe a group that engages in activities designed to halt weapons transfers to Israel, will be unprecedented in British history. By labelling Palestine Action a terrorist organisation, they are criminalising opposition to war, all to please the Zionist Lobby.
