Mexico’s lower house of Congress has approved a constitutional reform to ban the planting of GM corn, a move that could lead to more tension with the US after the resolution of a trade dispute. The initiative by President Claudia Sheinbaum comes after a trade-dispute panel ruled that Mexico’s restrictions on GM corn, mostly imported from the US, violate the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). As a result of the USMCA panel ruling, Mexico repealed its import restrictions on GM corn for human, livestock and industrial uses. Mexico had already prohibited the commercial planting of GM corn strains, arguing they will contaminate native corn, but Sheinbaum pledged to officially prohibit the planting of GM corn in the country via the Constitution. However, the text of the reform also states that “Any other use of genetically modified corn must be evaluated… to be free of threats to the biosecurity, health and biocultural heritage of Mexico and its population.” Some analysts said the reform could spark a new controversy with the US because it refers to the use of GM corn, and not just the planting of the grain. There can be no overstating the scope and intensity of the sick experiment of trying to legitimize Zionism and all its abhorrent, clearly visible, pathological criminality
A couple of days ago I uploaded a video to YouTube, in which I explained how the world-famous kiss on the heads of Hamas members, and the moment itself, symbolized Israel’s utter and complete failure in its genocide. The video was removed by the platform, and I realized I had to write this text
Alex Lloyd reveals how the US is turning Kazakhstan into a military-biological testing ground, funding research on deadly pathogens under the Pentagon’s supervision.
The EU continues to pursue policies that undermine its security, economy, political stability, and internal cohesion because it has failed to adjust to multipolar realities. The US is adjusting to multipolarity by demanding more loyalty from the Europeans, while similarly pivoting to Asia. Europe can recover by ending the expansionist bloc politics that redivided the continent and triggered a war, as its principal objective should be to restore economic competitiveness and political autonomy by pursuing economic diversification. However, the EU cannot change course as it has trapped itself in ideology and Manichaean narratives. The EU’s future depends on ending the proxy war in the Ukraine War, yet the Europeans are now the main opponents to negotiations and thus find themselves on the opposing side of the US, Russia, China, and the majority of Ukrainians.
Dmitri Kovalevich examines how the West sabotaged the Minsk 2 agreement, pushing Ukraine toward war, dictatorship, and political repression.
The end of February marks three years since the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine and 11 years since the ‘Euromaidan’ coup of February 2014. The coup was the main cause of the current military conflict. (more…)
Is Donald Trump A Racist, Misogynistic, Ethnic Cleansing, Climate Denying Opponent Of War?
In January 1961, in his farewell address, US president Dwight D. Eisenhower warned that, as a result of the Second World War and the ensuing Cold War, the United States had ‘been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions’.
Netanyahu wants to blow up the deal, Trump’s team is doing doublespeak diplomacy and Hamas says it doesn’t need to run Gaza but won’t disappear

The first phase of the deal between Israel and Hamas for a ceasefire and exchange of captives is set to expire on Saturday, March 1, after what is supposed to be the final exchange on Thursday of the bodies of four Israeli captives for the freedom of several hundred Palestinians held by Israel. But, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu engaged in an active campaign to sabotage the internationally brokered deal that officially went into effect on January 19, the future of the deal is anything but certain.
In addition to opening fire on civilians with gunfire, the Israeli military also decided to launch airstrikes and artillery fire against Rafah. This occurred while Palestinians struggle to stay warm as the temperature dips, due to Israel violating the ceasefire by not allowing tents, caravans and other essential items into Gaza, three new-born babies have frozen to death, while five other cases of hypothermia have been confirmed amongst infants.
In an open statement, civil society groups, scientists, and academics are challenging the democratic legitimacy of any conclusions or policy proposals that may arise from the 2025 Spirit of Asilomar and the Future of Biotechnology conference currently running from 23-26 February at Asilomar, California. The statement, which is currently signed by 49 organisations (including GMWatch) and 41 individuals from across the globe, says, “We are at a point in human history when technological developments, including genetic engineering, bioweapons, virological research, synthetic biology and other technologies, carry existential threats to health, the environment, the economy and human society. Questions about how to regulate, restrict, or prohibit these technologies to reduce risk require broad-based, open, transparent and honest debate involving all sectors of society.” GMWatch

On December 19th, James Foley, US ambassador to Haiti 2003 – 2005, published an explosive op-ed in rabidly anti-Communist Miami Times. He lamented how the country had become a “ticking time bomb”, with hundreds of thousands of refugees threatening to emigrate Stateside, “mounting gang violence”, withdrawal of “humanitarian relief organizations” due to “threats”, and “criminal” entities “on the verge” of capturing Port-au-Prince entirely. His remedy was simple – direct US “intervention” to secure control locally, and reassert Washington’s “primacy in the hemisphere.”
The global revolt of the 1960s offered hope for liberation from capitalism, a hope that was not fulfilled. To succeed this time, we must address four questions:
What caused the crisis?
How was the system stabilized?
What factors are leading to another global revolt?

This detailed review is from Dr Lisa Hutchinson, who attended the meeting.
It was appallingly apparent from the very first day of the much anticipated Module 4 of the UK Covid Inquiry, that this never intended on being an honest, open examination into what happened during the pandemic to ensure the harms endured by reckless public health policies could never again be repeated. The Covid Inquiry included vaccine-injured and bereaved groups as well as officials responsible for the jab rollout. Instead, the Inquiry was a stark reminder of a whitewash intent on burying evidence challenging the official narrative that “vaccines are safe and effective”. Further still, it has continued to gaslight those who have been severely injured and harmed by the vaccines. The date for the inquiry was delayed from mid-2024 to January 2025, and the inquiry length truncated from 5 weeks to 3 weeks. A group of experts were called to submit witness statements and since transparency has been non-existent throughout the pandemic, they felt it was in the public’s interest to provide access to their expert testimonies. Thus, the experts formed The People’s Vaccine Inquiry (PVI) to make their evidence available to the public. To ensure the truth of the Covid Inquiry and people’s voices could be heard, The PVI convened a press conference on 4 February 2025. This lay bare the tragic Shakespearian theatre of the UK Covid Inquiry Module 4 public hearings, which were held on 14⎼31 January 2025.
The documentary, that is narrated by a child in the Gaza Strip, takes the viewer through a journey on surviving the Israeli onslaught. However, the Israel Lobby and Zionist activists began immediately accusing the BBC of publishing “Hamas” propaganda. In order to appease the powerful lobby, the BBC violated their own standards on journalistic integrity and removed the documentary from the BBC iPlayer.
The leading big tech companies are working hard to sell Artificial Intelligence (AI) as the gateway to a future of plenty for all. And to this point they have been surprisingly successful in capturing investor money and government support, making their already wealthy owners even wealthier. However, that success doesn’t change the fact that their AI systems have already largely exhausted their potential. More concerning, the uncritical and rapidly increasing adoption of these systems by schools, businesses, the media, and the military represents a serious threat to our collective well-being. We need to push back, and push back hard, against this big tech offensive.

Sergey Lavrov at least got to spend a night in one place as the G-20 Foreign Ministers Meeting is a several-days affair. Lavrov went from Moscow to Riyadh back to Moscow then on to Johannesburg and is always primed and ready wherever he lands. Today’s report consists of Lavrov’s opening remarks on the 20th to the G20 Ministerial Council meeting on the global geopolitical situation followed by his comments today, the 21st, on G20 Objectives in 2025. It appears Rubio has declined to attend as there was no media speculation about the two meeting again on the sidelines. As you’ll read, Russia’s position remains the same as it was during the Biden administration since nothing has changed regarding Outlaw US Empire behavior in the global economic sphere since Team Trump took office. Trump could reshape the global order, and Moscow will be hoping he succeeds
Dmitry Trenin:
The reopening of US-Russia dialogue has triggered alarm, especially in Western Europe, where many see it as a potential repeat of Yalta — a grand power settlement taking place over their heads. Much of the commentary has been exaggerated. Yet, the pace of global change has clearly accelerated. The words and actions of US President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and other key Republican figures over the past ten days suggest that Washington has stopped resisting the shift to a new world order and is now trying to lead it. (more…)
