In a moving and hugely enjoyable event on Saturday 11 June campaigners and activists from across the UK gathered to celebrate half a century of collective history and experience, and what a wonderful story they told.

2. AGM PLANS YEAR AHEAD AND BIDS FAREWELL TO LUIS MARRON

The Annual General Meeting of the Cuba Solidarity Campaign took place on 11th
June 2011 at the headquarters of the National Union of Teachers in London.
Around 100 delegates from across the country and from affiliated organisations including the Trade Unions discussed the report of work of CSC over the previous 12 months as well as adopting an Annual Plan detailing all the proposed activities for the next period.

3. USAID REQUESTS PROPOSAL FOR CUBA PROGRAMMES

The U.S. Agency for International Development is pushing ahead with Cuba programs worth $21 million, although another $20 million remains blocked after oddly mixed signals by aides to Democratic Sen. John Kerry.

Cuba Organic Garden Party – Nottingham
10 Denmark Grove, Alexandra Park, Nottingham
Nottingham’s best attended and most important annual Cuba event, the Cuba Organic Garden Party will take place with the usual array of book stalls, musical entertainment, this year to include Mas Y Mas a local band who produced their last album in Havana as well as the Nottingham Clarion Choir, bar, salsa classes and food.
